ST Episode IX's Epic Duel - Who Will It Be?

I could see that, or something along the lines of Finn vs Snoke. I think I read that Finn is going to be the new Luke, so it makes sense. I don't know what will happen to Luke and Kylo Ren... there's so many variables and we haven't seen the first movie yet lol

 

We have no idea what Snoke even really is. How cool can it really be if we don't even know what Snoke looks like yet?

Anyway, it's entirely possible that he's dead by Episode IX and that Kylo grows even more powerful and usurps him.

I think Kylo and Rey are involved in it, whatever it winds up being.

 

Should be two epic duels. Luke and the master. And Kylo vs. Ren

 

Rey vs. Leia

 

A hotdog eating contest between Snoke and Chewbacca.

Chewie wins, but dies shortly afterwards.

 

Nien Nunb Vs. Ackbar... making it the greatest SW movie ever, of course.

 

Kylo Ren vs Luke .

 

Dak vs Luke in the spirit world. Dak wins, spouting the one-liner "never underestimate malfunctions in fire control"

Rey vs Kylo Ren will likely be a large battle some point in the trilogy. I feel like Finn is going to be the hero - though they should be careful not to overpower him. However, if Snoke is the "big battle" in the end, I have a feeling Finn will be involved in it in some way, perhaps even as a big role.

 

Kylo will be redeemed. Rey will fight.... someone we haven't met yet.
Snokes will be the puppet of someone hidden and Seriously With.

 

I'm thinking Rey vs Kylo Ren is definitely bound to happen in either VIII or IX. Maybe both. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rey go up against Snoke in IX too, if he's the main villain.

 

I'm thinking Ren will get redeemed and fight Snoke or Ren will be the big bad by 9 and fight Finn after killing Luke in 8.

 

I've read a couple of things that say Ren is seen without his mask, that makes me feel like they want to humanize him to the audience so they can transition him to being good later.

 

I think there will be a flip flop, with Rey being bad and Kylo Ren becoming good. Duel it out highlander style.

 

Luke is going to be dead by Episode VIII. He may appear as a spirit if Yoda and Obi-Wan are able to help him preserve his identity after death. But by then either Finn or Kylo Rey will strong enough to take down Snoke. Ren may turn light by then as well.

 

Wicket wins hands down! He will use his battle stick / spear to literally pin down Jar Jar's tongue.

I don't hate Jar Jar, I just like Wicket more

 

As for the epic-battle, personally I don't care as long as Luke will have a battle in some form be it with lightsaber or with Force powers alone (preferably with lightsaber).
I think that Luke will try to keep of a (physical) battle, but when he is forced he will show 'm who's the boss.

 

Using my psychic powers -- Rey and Finn vs. Kylo Ren. All three of the combatants will be so much more advanced than their 7 fight, it will create a powerful contrast.

I think Snoke and Luke will be out of the picture by 9.

 

Leia vs Rey

 

I think it will deppend on who Rey is. If she is related, then I expect the final duel to be a Skywalker matter, like ROTJ. IF she is really an orphan, and taking into account Finn already fights Kylo in TFA, I think both will end up fighting and defeating Kylo. It would be interesting if one of the main heroes dies during the duel. If Rey is unrelated, then Kylo would be the last Skywalker, and probably more powerful than Rey and Finn, so only their efforts combined would be enough to defeat him.

I believe Luke and Snoke will be out of the picture in IX as well.

 

What if it's just some ultimate battle between CGI effects and practical effects? I think it would be pretty evenly matched with fast, slightly more cartoonish-looking ships fighting stop-motion, slightly more realistic-looking machines.

 

Rey Solo vs Kylo Ren
Luke Skywalker vs Darth Plagueis

Plagueis strikes down Luke, only to be in turn defeated by Rey after she defeated Kylo in a very personal fight (maybe she gets help from Finn to take down Plagueis)

Obviously, Rey Solo and Darth Plagueis are just my theories, but I can see it happening and it's what I want to happen
