Episode openings

Anyone think the opening credits for the series may feature an opening crawl like the films or do you think it may be fairly similar to the openings of most television shows?

 

I am sure that is most definitly going to happen. Actually I would expect it to happen.

 

I was actually thinking the exact same thing yesterday. It would be great for jumping right into the action or maybe even to recap on past episodes so newcomers know what?s going on in the series without actually watching each episode.

 

if it doesnt happen with the scrall then it wouldnt be star wars would it???

 

Maybe a faster/shorter version of the crawl.

I agree. My thought is that they'd do the same one per episode for the entire season, with it outlining what the basic plot is. The best show to compare this to that I can think of is Babylon 5. They had an opening each season that would kind of give a rundown of what's been happening.

 

I noticed on the opening crawl during ANH it says from a hidden base that the Rebellion has its first victory in so getting the readouts to the Death Star. That would be a cool episode. Of course it would have to be the last...they could show the Tantive IV taking off and running with the Destroyer chasing...that would be a cool series finally.
