Do you think Episode VII: The Force Awakens will be on the home video release? It would make sense for it to be like that to fit the rest of the saga and for the inevitable saga box set.

Why do you think that? Curious to hear an alternative reasoning.

I mean will the cover of the DVD/Blu Ray have 'Episode VII: The Force Awakens' on it instead of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

Oh, I see. Probably not since they've advertised it without it since day one.

They actually dropped the episode numbers from all the movies for the latest blu-ray steelbook release.

it's marketing 101 because if they had put the 'Episode VII' tag, the GP could think that: 'oh, I haven't saw the other six movies, I'm not gonna understand anything'

And now without the VII tag, the non-fans won't know how many episodes are behind.

They are changing the Episodes for a Named Chapters since the Disneygate, strategy I guess.

Interesting. I wonder if TFA will have a package similar to this, perhaps with Kylo Ren! I could definitely see them doing a similar font and set up for The Force Awakens like this!

No they're moving away from the Episode #s and emphasizing the Brand more.

So Star Wars The Force Awakens.

I think Fox still have the rights to the old movies on home media until 2020, so Disney won't be pushing the whole saga as a single collection just yet. But I'm sure 2020 will see a nine movie box set. (Fox will still own rights to Episode IV, so they will get the money from that one movie, but Disney will just have to live with that.)

Okay! Disney may buy the rights to ANH but who knows. Anyway can't wait for that entire box set.

I was just so relieved that "VII" was in the opening crawl, since I'd seen it NOWHERE official prior

I don't give a rat's ass how they advertise the crawl is enough for me

Thanks for the replies everyone. If they get rid of the Episode Number for TFA as long as all of the other movies do the same thing I am fine!
