I don't know about Glove of Darth Vader, but definitely Kylo Ren's name came from Kybo Ren in the Droids series--I don't care how much JJ and Kasdan try to claim they don't pay attention to any cartoons or EU.

 

I thought you were critical of the overall quality of TFA? I don't understand why you're equating it to GODV in that case.

 

It’s true, TFA isn’t even entertainingly stupid.

 

Everyone else with kids is all starry-eyed "oh my kids just luv Forces of Destiny!" and Dawud is like "I gave my kid GODV."

 

We only have Lost City of the Jedi, but yeah. He's read YJK too.

I hope that the relationship between Luke and Rey is not like the one between EU Luke and Ben, his son [or the real Ben, as I call him]. I mean, I like Daisy Ridley. Tbh, she's the main reason I watch the sequel films at all, other than Hamill.

 

I dont know, i think i would love a sparring session between Rey and Luke where he challenges her to make him spark his lightsaber ala Ben/Luke in Inferno.

We shall see. I doubt that Luke will be as powerful as he was in the EU.

I consider this all alternative history on film in comparison to the books. Just my take.

 

He probably won't knowing how the new canon has gone so far.

 

1 month from now I will have seen Last Jedi 3 times already, yayyy!!!

After shopping with my girlfriend the other day, I think she might be the first person I've heard of who has a bigger crush on BB-9E than she does on the porgs or BB-8.

Well, somebody pointed out on another thread that it bares a resemblance to a Hotwheels set.

Which means that thing is one big self-propelled turbolaser cannon.
