I'm sure you've noticed that the Plagueis novel is not listed. It's true. The novel has been cancelled. We decided that this was not the right time to delve into Palpatine's back story and Plagueis's beginnings. You'll still see Jim Luceno around, though, as he's an author we are not willing to lose.

The actual pub day for the later novels isn't listed because the day hasn't been confirmed, and those books could come out the end of the month before.

I was super excited for the Plageuis book, but I can respect that as far as the Sith are concerned, shadows aren't a bad thing.

It is on the 19th of May at 11:00 AM and the location was changed to Oak Park for the Stover signing. There's a thread around here about the signing, but figured there should be a notice here too.

This month is April 28 at Borders on State Street. As listed in the list of events above, it's Dark Nest I.

Next month is May 19 at Borders in Oak Brook at 11:00 A.M. to coincide with the Stover signing. That is Dark Nest II.

guess I should post here as well,
Keeping up with the threads on books, requires reading:)

and I am reporting that I am going to attend the next
    Errant Venture book club meeting,
and that I am actually reading the book (am on page 59)
while inbetween classes here in Bloomington, IN.
but that I have just discovered that I have mis-placed the book
and may not have a chance to look for it again until tomorrow,
though I may go out and re-buy it tonight,
as I am most determind to read the book for the book club:)

I really need to do this to bring my book club
read the book vs not read the book average,
which is currently only 1 out of 4,
(yup, I even count the day I got lost, as I did not read
the book for that day either)

so, all I have to do now, is find/buy the book, and finish reading,
and making notes (yes I am) by Saturday,
then I can proudly point to my improved average of at least,
2 out of 5 times that I attended I managed to read the book.

I will post more on this, but only if it really becomes
    convoluted and confusing.

The saga continues.........have bought another book,
and thus was in the book store again....and then spend another 60.00 bucks
on Star Wars books............but then, the internet connection in the
hotel room went down and I had to find another connection,
but not until after 3-hours of proving that I know very little
when it comes to computers, the internet, the local net, and of course,
wireless connections...........this will probly keep me from
buying a laptop, as I have never had any good luck with one,
all I know is, that my hope computer works, and as long as
I never try anything new, it will always work....just keep clicking
NO, to all new fangled devices and other stuff:)

so, bottom line, I had about 5 free hours to read a book today,
and wasted them..........no sleep for me tonight, must read,
but first must post, after wandering the building and finding a terminal that
    works.

am up to about page 80 at this time.......Yes, I have dyslexia and am
also a slow reading....tho, in the interest of getting done, I am not
researching words, phrases charaters or am taking my usual notes....
so I am pretty sure, I will make some outrageous comments at the meeting:)

ok enough fun for now............but I am so happy to finally
have a computer that works while on vacation.

home at last, and still behind in reading,

am on my way at this time,

    [image=http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a94/MusicTrooper/car-smiley-004.gif]

will plan to read and drive in hopes of mostly being done,

which will further cause my self-imposed
    reading-attending percentage to become murky"-)

Truer words were never spoken. Plus you missed a little GG finale dish. WoOt! In actuality everyone who missed sucks. I had a really nice time.

also; Trooper: I know it seems a little lame, but this from our very own TF.N boards was what I was thinking about. Color-coded even.

edit: also for those who'd care to know. AlemaAlema's real name is Alem'arar...

GREAT TIME at the book club,

    almost finished reading the book,

well....not really, only made it to page 186 of 357,

    which is a ........

    let me see

    hhhhhhhmmmmm

    186 divided by 357...

    357 goes into 186.00 hhhmmm
move the decimal? carry the one? subtract the ????
    get out the calculater:)

    0.521008403361344537815126050420168

or about 52 per cent done.....think I got-s to do better.

so, 5 book clubs, made it to 4 and have read 2.52 books,

well, fellow fans, as a drown in my very own sea of numbers,
    ya know I had FUN!

and am looking forward to next time.

There were 5 of us at this one, and we had a blast.

    Ed

Getting to a meeting has been rather difficult, but I have been reading the books. The last two books were rather predictable :( but I was glad to be able finish them. My favortie characters have been Luke, Mara, Leia, and Jacen. I am very unhappy with what has happened with Jaina's character. I hope this changes with the next series.

I just started Darth Bane - although I bought the book when it first came out - I am working the 28th, but may be able to come since it is close to work.

Anyone interested in seeing the 6:30 digital presentation of Ratatouille at Streets of Woodfield after lunch? I've seen it, so I'll try not spoil it like telling you there's a rat named Remy in the movie. Oops!

I'm looking forward to this discussion, but I will have to run afterward, family bbq stuff.

And come on guys, since it's not the greatest book, it'll give us more time to talk about a very good book, Harry Potter!

I hope you'll be done by then DrJawa!

So, I am struggling to finish Darth Bane, but I have finished Harry Potter Book 7. I will be there, but I promise I will not talk about Harry Potter Book 7 unless everyone has finished the book.

I will not be able to stay after for movie and dinner.

I'll be there tomorrow! I have not read the book, but I feel like I haven't seen any of you in a long time. A long time.

If I'm not there for all of the book discussion, I'll definitely be there for the tail end of it and for the Fuddruckers goodness afterwards (if that's where everyone still goes).

Oh, and I have a very cool Star Wars story to tell all of you. Something that just happened two days ago. :D
