I was just trying to post on the JCC, and I recieved the following cryptic message:

Purple monkey PiaS.

Err, I mean Error: Invalid post attempt. Please try again.

I've never heard of, nor seen this before, and it's puzzling me. I tried again, and it came up again, so I tried again, and it worked. <Three letter abbreviation that I'm not allowed to use on the JC anymore>?

 

Mod conspiracies clearly have attempted to stop myself and xie from posting. I pressed post again and things worked, so clearly the mods hoped I would give up at first fail. I demand the mods stop going against xie and myself, the board's most respected posters. Now.

It's probably something at IGN's end. Maybe they're inserting more advertisements into their site and it's overloading their servers.

I've gotten this 3 times in the last 20 minutes, so I'm not sure what's up with it either. Odd.

Edit: I thought at first that the rules had been changed, and a minimum character post limit had been implemented, because the first one I got it on was one word, with a smiley.

 

I can't believe this; the mods even have it out for their own kind (case in point: Gandy). You disgust me.

I was just on my way to start this thread. Yes, I just got it, too. Twice. Both times I got it when I was trying to edit a post. Never seen this before. It's OK if I go back and hit it again.

 

After a careful full-spectrum-gravimetric-analysis of the problem, I?ve determined the source. It?s the smiley face. We must heretofore cease using the entirely, or else the will cause the completely and utter destruction of the boards as we know them.

You mean that there are multiple flavors of error?!?! Well, for crying out loud.

When I saw that error I figured the Administration had finally caught up with me.

 

Arg. A third flavor has come to my attention. It also gives a "Referrer:", the Referrer being the thread that you're trying to post to.
