    Looks like the debate is underway. Current plan is to exempt accounts under 20,000 euros from the levy. And the UK Ministry of Defense has flown emergency euros to Cyprus as a contingency fund for UK service personnel, and is reviewing their pay to see if they want future pay to go into a UK bank instead of one there.

    Update - just heard on CNBC that parliament voted against the levy.

    Latest on this is that the Cyprus banks will remain closed til at least next Tuesday. That's gotta suck. A couple of lessons to learn from this - keep some spare cash where you can get to it and don't put all your eggs in one basket.
