    Hey guys,

The last Star Wars book I read was The Unifying Force when it came out. I was wondering how many book have been published since then and more importantly how many books/series have continued on from the end of NJO?

you should stop there. most everything since then sucks. The Unifying Force should have been the end of the current eu. too bad Disney did not take over in 2005.

I for one really enjoy many of the novels that take place after The Unifying Force, such as the Legacy of the Force and Fate of the Jedi series.

Mercy Kill was pretty darn good, and Millennium Falcon was decent. But yes, everything else pretty much stank imo, but like everything they do have some good parts.

Oh look, Denning was involved with all 21 of those books, probably just a coincidence though.

    Post TUF books worth reading:

    Crosscurrent
    Riptide
    X-Wing: Mercy Kill

Somehow even those three suffered from being set in the LOTF period, at least for me. Sure Mercy Kill is good, but not even remotely as great as the other X-Wings, whilst I felt that Crosscurrent and Riptide would kind of have worked better during the Vong War and without the whole One Sith thing.

That's where we differ then, I really liked how Riptide did that.

Dark Nest had some highlights. LOTF was fairly well written and interesting, but ended badly. FOTJ was frustrating. It all had good moments, but really the greatest single ending for the current eu was TUF. But they had to ruin it with Joiner King. I did like the Jaden Korr novels though. Did not read Mercy Kill.

If we're going by release date...Scoundrels is a good yarn.

Well, if we're going by that, all manner of suggestions present themselves!

The LOTF books are great by themselves but not as a whole. Have to reread FOTJ. Mercy Kill was great. DNT was meh. Look at the Legacy comics! I know, not books but they are amazing!

I have no interest in the post-NJO, and only want to read Millennium Falcon, Crosscurrent and Riptide, and X-wing: Mercy Kill out of respect for James Luceno, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and the X-wing series, respectively.

    You can skip Millennium Falcon.

Even I can't stand that book.

I had already decided I couldn't stand the post-NJO before I had even heard what other people thought of it. The entire post-NJO scenario just seems so wrong to me. I seriously doubt very many things could convince me TUF isn't the end of the timeline.

I'd be overjoyed if Episode VII screws over everything post-The Unifying Force. Ecstatic. Delirious.

I don't know what to think of Legacy, the post-NJO has made me so mad that I am not in any hurry to read Legacy.

I'd recommend it, and it builds on what NJO achieved with minimal references to the between-verse.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I plan on reading Legacy, but I am behind on other eras, I have practically neglected the PT era and before.

Maybe that's because it had nothing to do with Starfighters despite inexplicably having "X-Wing" in the title
