Yeah, I'm with you on this one, forgot about her. The only books I've enjoyed her in at all are Ascension and Apocalypse, when she finally stopped pining away after Anakin. As for Anakin... I don't know if I'd say I dislike his character, per se- but I feel like I never got the know him at all. He just wasn't horribly interesting for me in NJO (but his death was sad), probably because I'd never touched the JJK series. As a huge fan of the YJK books as a kid though, it was more natural for me to get engaged with Jacen and Jaina's stories in NJO.
Kyp simply becuse Kyp Cade and Kryat as well. As soon as Vector hit he lost all credibility as an antagonist with me. Cade was just generally a putz
I acknowledge his import, and I enjoyed him while alive, but the song and dance about him for the last few years and the squish involving him and Mara put me off. The Anakin Sal-Solo droid... the Anakin Solo as a Star Destroyer... the cameo's by Anakin in FotJ... it's a bit much for me, that's all. Conquest remains one of my favourite NJO novels ever with Ruin and Remnant, before being surpassed by the brilliance that was Star by Star, though that was more for the Battle of Coruscant... of course none of them match to TUF, but shrug.
Jacen Solo Vector Prime-Star By Star- Can't stand his philosophizing. Borsk Fey'lya-Does anything need to be said?
It depends on how you mean "dislike". If you're asking for fictional characters that are just unsympathic to me, there would be a lot of them in Star Wars, like Atris, Anakin Skywalker, Jagged Fel, Borsk Fey'lya, Darth Sion, Darth Bandon, Lord Daiman, Lord Odion, Jabba and Gardulla the Hutt, Salacious Crumb, Grand Admiral Thrawn himself, those guy who wants to steal the Ebon Hawk, Jedi Master Vrook, the unnamed Sith trooper guarding the turbolift to the under city on Taris and many more. Unnecessary and disturbing characters that I can name are the B1 battle droids in TCW, Cade Skywalker and last but not least "Darth" Caedus, Jacen Solo's evil clone from the Star Wars parody "Legacy of the Force". My least favorite fictional character ever is one of the antagonists from a science fantasy novel I'm currently working on.
ah yes... the infamous starkiller. i don't even consider him existent in the universe, so i completely forgot about him. really him, juno eclipse and kota are on that list for me.
He wasn't on my list because I don't think of him when I think of legitimate (though admittedly irritating) star wars characters.
Oh, right...forgot about him. Both Marek and his Jedi Master are deep, deep within my "hate" circle. But I try to forget about them as well. If ever there was a Mary Sue character, those two are it.
Tahiri was okay in NJO - I honestly liked her and Anakin together. But after that... Ugh. Just ugh. I can't stand Tahiri anymore, and I think she should just GO AWAY. Forever. Kyp annoyed me throughout his existence, but, surprisingly enough, I liked him better in FotJ and LotF. I think he was handled badly from the beginning. (Please @Adalia-Durron, don't hurt me. Please. I'm your friend!) @adaml83, Qwi Xux is so pathetic! She was so... wishy-washy. Blah. What did Keyes write again?
Saba bugs me when Denning writes her, to be honest. Loved her in the Force Heretic trilogy and yet enjoyed her in the Dark Nest Trilogy. There, I had a negative comment, everyone happy?
I guess I could put Quinlan Vos in there too. And Cade Skywalker. But I think expressing too much discontent with the Ostrander/Duursema-verse is asking for trouble ;-) Sort of the opposite of expressing problems with the so-called Denningverse. Stay positive, Sinre! Someone has to, and I can't do it!
