I will try to post upcoming releases on a regular basis. Generally, new novels hit the shelves on the first Tuesday of the month.

The mass-market *paperback* edition of Shatterpoint. (Starring Mace Say WHAT to me one more time! Windu. ) This edition includes the short story Equipment, previously published in the Hasbro Short Story Collection, as well as an original introduction by George Lucas.

This is an e-book appearing before the release of The Cestus Deception, set to tie in with the Clone Wars novel.

There's a thread over in Lit about the Shatterpoint intro by GL here. (Did you really type that whole thing, Rhonda? )

Be sure to check out page 2 of the thread where Matthew Stover (the author) himself shows up. (I knew I liked him for a reason. )

 

Stover is an EU god as far as I'm concerned. I had a geekgasm when I heard he was doing the Episode III novelization. Hell, I was hoping he was ghostwriting the script!!!

And, hey... Any author who can make me forget that Mace runs like a flippin schoolgirl in Episode II is pure genius in my book.

 

There is a new animated Clone Wars comic coming out this summer from Dark Horse Comics. I believe an issue will be available for free on July 3rd for Free Comic Book Day . Just go to your local comic shop and pick up one. There's a ton of titles that will be available that day, including Teen Titans and some from Disney. I know Comics and Collectibles will be doing this, and I believe Triple Play will as well.

Oh, the new Spiderman movie will be out that weekend!

I can see that as an alternative Barriss outfit for the summer months when that dang cloak gets hot, LOL.

There's a new book coming out in September called Panel to Panel Star Wars. It will have some good Dark Horse art!

Oh me, oh my! I had a geekgasm just looking at the Empire #19 artwork of Vader. If that was my response, we might as well have a towel ready for Rhonda.

 

I was impressed with the shuttle drawings, and then that splash page- wow! I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for that issue.

Oh, yeah. Empire 19 - comes out May 12, babeeee.

I love the way everyone is debating if that is really him that landed.

That reminds me- I need to tell COmics and Collectibles to put that on hold for me while I'm out of town! Heck, if the art's looking that good I may just go ahead and put it on my subscritpion list there.

BTW- there are some cool desktops and stuffs to download at Dark Horse's website.

 

I'm a complete comics retard, but I'll be buying that issue of Empire.

Haven't bought Tales in a while, either. I like it because it has a bunch of different, and somewhat offbeat, stories.

 

Tales rocks! I have a subscription to it through TFAW. I need to pre-order Empire 19, I've been looking forward to that one since February!

No, the green space rabbit was a very early Marvel comic character called Jaxxon. An unholy cross of Bugs Bunny and Jar Jar Binks, who hung out with a woman in a bikini. I kid you not.
