Just went over to pick up Kenobi by John Jackson Miller at Mysterious Galaxy... so excited about this book. As Obi-Wan settles in on Tatooine, he has to decide how to lay low and interact with the issues of desert residents. As Miller told me back in July, it's basically a Western -- the old soldier ends up on the frontier.

Here's the interview i did with Miller at comic-con - should give you a sense of the book:

or if you want to listen to James Arnold Taylor read a section of the book in his Obi-Wan voice:

Everyone seems to like it, and some have some very high praise for it: “this is a book that should be on every Star Wars fan’s bookshelf”

this was a really enjoyable read, and you don't need to be familiar with the EU at all to get it. really good characters
Del Rey is hosting a chat with James Arnold Taylor on Wednesday 9/4 at noon - i'm sure that his read of the excerpt from Kenobi will be part of the discussion.
