I've recently begun to read the post-Return of the Jedi novels starting with Heir to the Empire, with the ultimate goal of working my way into the New Jedi Order series. I was wondering, is it essential to read the Young Jedi Knights books before going into New Jedi Order? I'd rather not but then again, I don't want to miss any important continuity. Also, would I miss out on skipping the Corellian trilogy? Thanks.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You don't really have to read any books to get into the NJO, but then you'd be going Who da hell's dat? every couple of pages. I reccomend you visit Gandolf's newbie thread (ask a friendly mod) or ask someone for a list of books (sorry, woke up 5 minutes ago).

Thank you very much. As usual, I seem to have missed the FAQ pages. I headed off in that direction now. :)
