The squadron has quite a few members these days; as soon as Gold Flights fill, e can go to the MJ Fanclub to fill up Green/Jade Flight. They should prove interesting defenders of the EU...

 

Well, I'm glad I got what I did in that those threads but I do wish I would have been able to spend more time helping out.

I also feel that we should coordinate our attacks better. We definitly overwhelmed them but I feel that it is equally important to make sure that there is someone else ready to reinforce what you have posted. I also think that it is a good idea that "someone" can post links or even private message us to tell us where we are needed. I don't go into the prequals board(not counting when defending our precious EU) so this would make me aware of where I am needed.

And why is it that after I said "I don't want to get off on a rant her, but" Everyone started using 'rant' in their post?

 

Black 7, even the smallest addition helped the cause. Be proud to have been a force for good in that thread.

 

I also think we should add everyone in EU squadron to our favorite users list.

OK, so that should handle any further changes affecting the squadron as a whole. We should try to limit future list updates to ONLY the squadron being filled at that time (i.e., right now that would be Gold squadron).

Leave the FULL LIST UPDATES to me, so we don't have too many. I'll post a full list as needed.

A few notes here:

There will be ONE XO for every TWO flights. As you can see, Spiderdevil is the XO for Red and Black flights. Matthew Trias is the XO for Gold flight (and will be so for Green flight, when it gets started).

You may have noticed the note "(civilian)" next to Matthew's name. CIVILLIAN indicates that the person does not participate in the actual battles. Certain persons have their reasons for that, and that's fine, but that is only an option for persons who are XOs. The reason for this is that an XO primarily assists in organizing squadron activities.

So, ordinarily, an XO fights with the rest, but some may join as XOs if they want to be a part of the squadron without participating in the 'battles'. Instead they would only be involved in support, planning and organization. Those XOs are indicated as 'CIVILIAN'.

I am glad to see the support that this idea has gotten. I see "Red # out" "Black # out" all over the place; it is quite a great thing to see fans unite with such a good goals and standards.

 

Black 10 reporting in, how's everyone dojng? Any EU bashing anywhere, I have a great proton torpedo of a mouth.

 

I don't know if he is an author or not, but in stories, when a guy shows up and people say mean things because they think he doesn't have powers, it turns out that he does have nice powers and rewards the ones who were nice to him. Or at least that's what TV has taught me.

In other news, good job maintaining civility. Feel ready to wear down arguments, but don't go after the person who posted it.

Does anyone have a summary of what happened at the end of the thread?

Well Thanos, you missed quite the shindig. 2 forum battles, 2 threads shut down. We actually got some bashers to see our POV. And despite the fact that we didn't change their views, we helped to bring a little bit of civility and respect to the forums. All without flaming, too.

Welcome aboard as Gold Flight 13; on a related note, you also get to be a recon pilot as 13 so keep your eyes peeled for possible points of engagement, but never start a war, only tell us and we'll go in as a Squadron. The EU Squadron is always on call.

Remember, "Great Scene for the EU" is a NO FIRE ZONE for all pilots unless personally defamed.

A large mass of ppl who go around and "fight" others opinions of the EU. So no one is allowed to have an opinion? If a person bashes the EU they must be massed with you ppl? Sorry, but ppl should be allowed to have their own opinion.

Hell I know ppl who bash the EU all the time. But would I want suddenly 30+ ppl shoving their opinions down their throat? No, its wrong. You all keep saying your trying to get ppl to see your POV? So no one is allowed to have their own POV?

What makes your POV any better than theirs? Because you got large numbers?

 

TheB5fan, this isn't bashing everyone who has negative thoughts on the EU- it's pointing out flaws in logic of those who attack it without reason, or go after fans.
