I've decided to make it a bit more exciting by making it secret! If they are posted openly, anyone can figure out who won what! Much more exciting no knowing! Not going to do nominations, as there simply aren't enough people here to bother with that. The few I've had so far are all pointing toward the same group of people, so I feel the Nominations are not necessary this time around. There are approximately 25 people to choose from at best. I think I can manage that
No Ril is talkign about that we do Nominations open first and then vote in secret for which nominees should be the winners.
Also means that you might not get the right tally of votes, though, if it doesn't come down to a bunch of candidates for a voting phase. But hey, your awards, your rules. Yeah, that.

The right tally as in, without a list of nominees at voting phase, you'll get one for Jedi_master_whatever, one for Darth_whoever, one for _Rogue_Pilot_Generic_, one for YodaFriendPerson, one for ILoveAni2000000, one for... Yeah. Like that, I mean. As opposed to voting from the nominee list. Plus, the nominations period is the traditional time for open shout-outs in your nominations and playful teasing about your friends choosing you for things. Darth_whoever: I nominate Jedi_master_whatever for Scariest Patron. Bet you thought nobody would, haha! Jedi_master_whatever: Scariest? I'll give you scary then.
But there aren't that many people here active that much. The lists I have so are are basically the same over and over. The nominations aren't really necessary. Trust me, there are some stand outs clearly that everyone feels fit one or two categories already. The others are the noticeable members too. We have a small group of regulars here at this moment in time, and they are the ones being voted for mostly.
If people want it changed I can lock this and start again.... I can disregard the votes so far and start again. Im out for a while but PM me your choice on this topic please, or post here so I can make in informed decision.
I'm fine with how it is personally. I happen to agree we don't really have enough people right now for nominations to really be worth the time. That's just me though...
Basically, all of our PMs could be considered nominations, if you decide to go that route. It's just secret nominations then. You could then announce the candidate pools. Personally, I agree with you, Addie, and Skyguy. I don't see how it'll make much of a difference in this case. And it is fun to have a completely secret vote.
I am happy to do what the people want, so far its mostly the same people for most the awards, and as they come in teh for runners will become clearer. Should be a COMPLETE Surprise to the winners though!!
