All the votes have been counted, the tabulations have been done and over the next day we will reveal the EUC CotY Awards Winners for 2012! The top five highest point totals will be given mention, from 5th - 1st over the course of tomorrow! As for tonight the EUC CotY Awards are pleased to announce that the winner of Best New Expanded Universe Character for 2012, as chosen by you the EUC Community, is: Bo Katan! Bo Katan had a really significant year, from her debut in The Clone Wars in A Friend in Need to her role in the events surrounding Mandalore in Darth Maul: Shadow Conspiracy. Bo Katan has clearly become a fan favorite in a very short timeframe and likely has nothing but big things expected from her in the future!
Tied for 4th place in our Character of the Year Category are two ace pilots from Wraith Squadron who were both featured in Mercy Kill this past year! Myri Antilles & Voort Sabinring
Making her second appearacne in our ceremony, Bo Katan finished up 3rd in our voting for EUC Character of the Year!
And the 2012 Expanded Universe Character of the Year is..... Darth Plagueis Darth Plagueis's name appeared on 60% of the voters lists and had 5 first place votes and 4 second place votes to help him easily secure the victory! We would like to thank everyone who participated in the EUC CotY Awards and we will look forward to seeing you again for 2013!
Ba'gede'ye Bar'ika. I was kinda expecting Plagueis, Katan and some combination of Rogue Pliots to do pretty well. Ventress was kinda a surprise to me. Her TCW stuff is obviously proving popular with folks.
Agreed. Though only one of my picks won, at least one of my honorable mentions (Asajj) won. That's gotta count for something.
Plagueis was indeed a memorable character. A shame there is not one comic book character in the five winners. Actually, that's the first time ever I see a picture of Myri Antilles! Nice!
