Its a friendship, and a big sister/little sister - big Brother/Little Brother thing I think. Well, my first was like a big sister and little brother. You build a trust and learn to work as a team. I cant give you the outlines of the assignments, they are different to every Master and Padawan. I like to talk and figure out my Padawans strengths and worth with them, and I read my Jedi Path alot

How does the selection process work? Like if you pass your initiate stuff and get accepted, will they assign you a master?
