Corellians are fiercely independent. I didn't know they had their own langauge but it doesn't surprise me.

 

Well, every planet was isolated from the Galaxy at some point. So they all would develop their own language (aside from colony worlds). Basic is supposed to be a mix of said languages isn't it?
