I was a mostly play outside kinda kid. Played a few computer games, but mostly indoors I played Monopoly, the old fashioned board game. I did learn how to beat the computer at it in short order once though. Right now my son is very content playing with his legos, which makes me happy. I hate it when he gets too involved with the x-box or watching videos. I don't mind for 30 minutes to an hour, but I hate it beyond that point. If I was feeling better I'd probably make us go outside for a bit as it's sunny and not that cold. But I really don't feel good today
Runner: You probably would have hated to have me as a kid. I routinely spent 8+ hours playing games and I still do now.
I too was a play outside kid, during the summer time. In the winter and during the school year, if I wasn't at a sports practice or game, I was on our computer trying to pilot an apache helicopter againgst our cold war enemies Btw one of my new pieces of art... Enjoy!!! Sent from a Galaxy far away via R2-N6
Gunship or Gunship 2000, Grand Master? I played '2000 and another sim called 'Dogfight' -- never knew that you couldn't lock a Sidewinder onto a Red Baron Fokker! Sparrows worked very well though!
Gunship... I figured you would know what I was talking about Tim Sent from a Galaxy far away via R2-N6
You seem to have turned out nicely, Mirax. I am dying to do something active right now, but I have been feeling nauseous all day. I don't even feel like doing laundry. Work is really going to suck tomorrow. Thanks for sharing CPL. That's really impressive.
Thanks Runner. The only problem is that I have run out of pencil sketches to color. So now I just need to find time to do some more sketches. Sent from a Galaxy far away via R2-N6
Once I figure out a species for my eventual shadow wars character, I think I'll draw her... though no guarantees on quality How long does it usually take you to do a sketch, Mac?
Usually takes me a day or two to draw it and then about a day to color it with Gimp. I do better drawing it by hand with my pencil than I do with Gimp or PS. Sent from a Galaxy far away via R2-N6
My younger sister got all the artistic talent in our family. The rest of us can't even draw stick figures.
I'm definirely not artistic (at all), but I did manage this:- and I also had a couple of goes at removing Allana's dye job:-
I pencil sketch, do chalk art, crafts, knitting, needlework, writing, singing, flute and Eb alto saxophone. Anything plants.
Tim I've done ship designs in strict Gimp only for another game that I am in on here... But they always start as pencil sketches... I'll work on updating my art thread so you can see the progressions, if you would like to see them. Sent from a Galaxy far away via R2-N6
I would indeed, Grand Master! That tank started as pencil on graph paper (just for the basic hull outline) then migrated into PSE. My great-nephews enjoyed it! (Another five years and we might see the eldest on here too, he's been SW trained!).
We had to try in RE at school, Chewie -- the Priest (C of E) was much into church arcitecture -- he could even do a good picture of Salisbury Cathedral in chalk on the blackboard!
