Thanks, Timbuktu. Not too bad. I'm sure I'll be napping after I get off work, though.

    The_Zeltron... yes yes they are.

Rebecca_Daniels... If you want a ship have a ship. Actually it makes it easier if you do, and it makes us look like we have sn armada waiting to strike at a moments notice :D

Haha she'll probably have a ship eventually, I just haven't worked things out that far.

Actually I wanted to ask: as I am a padawan here, must my character in Shadow Wars also be padawan-level or can I play around with skill level a bit? I'm an experienced RPGer, I'm not going to make her a master or something when I'm nowhere near that level but yeah what sort of leeway is there for the RPG (and for Shadow Wars only - offsite stuff I'd obviously be my own level)

I tend to work these things out when I'm doing the history and such but it'll probably be a lower skill level if anything :p

My CS was a Padawan one skill-wise. Really need to update that, especially now that I have my own style :p

    Posting as instructed by Skywalker_T-65

The Three Pillars of the Jedi are the core tenets of the Jedi way and must be implemented into the Jedi’s life. While it is important to found training upon these pillars, they are essential even in personal and everyday lives.

    1. The Force
The Force is in all things in the universe, and therefore the first pillar. The Jedi have the ability to access and use the Force, an ability that separates them from many other beings. However, the Force is not what makes the Jedi special – other sects, from Sith to Force Witches, can also use the Force, yet are not Jedi. This pillar is about not only the ability to use the Force but the way in which the Jedi use it: a Jedi uses the light side and not the dark, must be calm and at peace, must be selfless and in balance.

    2. Knowledge
Knowledge and the accumulation of wisdom is the second pillar of the Jedi, as Jedi must learn a great deal before they can fill their role in the galaxy and combat their own ignorance and the ignorance of others. While training and book learning are generally the focus of this pillar, and are indeed important, experience can be the greatest teacher. A Jedi must be able to learn from their mistakes, accept them and move on, or else they will continue to make that mistake, and that is not an ability that can be taught from books – this is why a Master is assigned to Padawans, to allow them to gain experience and make mistakes before they are given the responsibility of being a Knight. A Jedi must also recognise what they do not know, and try to fill the gaps in their knowledge.

    3. Self-Discipline
Self-Discipline is the third pillar and most important for combat. A Jedi may not learn combat before they have mastered the first two pillars, and even then will spend a great deal of time learning meditation before they are allowed to take up a lightsabre. Self-discipline is important to keep a Jedi from falling to the dark side, and is needed in more than just combat – a Jedi must think before they act, and learning of self-discipline is key to defusing situations without violence, key to making allies and not enemies, key to trade and diplomacy and most aspects of a Jedi’s life.

Is there a reason you are using GDocs and not posting these directly to the thread?

If I post into this thread, I:
    a) Have to do all the formatting in one go.
    b) Can't do it well in school. Copy/paste tends to screw up from GDocs to this forum, and the school blocks here from their WiFi. (I can get on from my phone, but I can't type well on that).

Sorry, I didn't get it done the other night Sarge, but we had a sudden snow storm that I needed to dig us out of so that I could go to work in the morning

Who can I ask Legacy-era questions about Shadow Wars? Namely, pre-Sith takeover, where were the Jedi temples, other than Ossus?
