I use Blender. It's actually quite easy now that I've gotten the hang of it. THIS however...it burns!

 

Blargh, you lose interest in the conversation when you have to have it in the right spot >.>

 

I'm going to download that program and try it out... I have a very specific design for my lightsaber in my head.

 

But then what's on topic here?

 

Oh of course, lol. Jedi stuff makes sense.

I wish I could plug a cable into my head and just download what I have designed in my head lol.

 

Ok so it's not that specific, lol, I just know that I want a funky part where the blade erupts from the hilt, something that allows smaller beams of plasma to converge to become one.

I need to read up how the lightsabers work so I understand them lol. Like, do they require special crystals or just any crystal/gem. I want a unique coloured blade. Also trying to decide if I want a straight blade or more of a scythe blade, not sure if that's possible though..

 

Well I can tell you not any crystal would do the trick

Lol, I didn't think so. What crystal determines the colour? The primary or focusing?

I'm going to try and cut and paste components to give a visual idea and hopefully so me nice person will be able to design it in a blender type program. I loaded up Blender and I totally can't so that stuff, that's a whole other kind of IT.

 

I don't know if this is a Padawan task or one of the trials but here my first attempt at a lightsaber.



White blade, white hilt, single on/off switch, the spiky aspects of it makes it feel like a Sith lightsaber.

I also want a smaller, secondary (or scythe) blade that erupts either from the top that curves toward and passes the hilt, or erupts from the bottom and curves toward the top of the hilt. This scythe blade would cover and protect the fingers and look similar to a scythe but the curve would be more pronounced. The design would need to allow for double handed wielding of the saber otherwise the Jedi would risk grabbing the blade and not the hilt.

The scythe blade would be used for close combat or as a defensive in close quarters when the full blade isn't a viable option. Both blades can also be utilised at the same time too for a unique and aggressive fighting style.

Though the irony is that Blender can be used to make models of people. But it is WAY above my level.
