Really Bardan? But I am so close to finishing and keeping my vow. . .how could I? Not to mention part of my reasoning is I don't have money for proper dating whereas she now does. . .this now feels awkward.

 

I am always of the opinion of "ask her out". What's the worst that can happen? She says no? She says yes, you have fun for a bit and then break up? Neither sound like particularly terrible outcomes given that the alternative is not asking her out at all, in which case you know the result there. No date.

But at the same time I wouldn't tell you to give up your vow if it is that important to you.

 

Six years down and a few months to go. I think that qualifies as important

 

Then she can wait a few months. If she is still single then ask her out. If not, it wasn't meant to be.
