Ah ok. Didn't realize we could play as characters without having a full CS posted.

 

You need a full CS unless you discuss future plans with the GM. And there is always character growth.

 

I don't see any CS at all...

I believe (and Falcon or CPL will correct me if I am wrong) that Keira is an NPC being run by Falcon.

 

Ah so If I create an NPC and control them I don't have to disclose and information about them?

Granted, I still submitted a CS for Lenea way back when, since I knew I would be running her enough it was justifiable. If CPL/Falcon didn't submit one for Keira (which they may have, I ain't digging back to check ) I'm sure they have a reason.

EDIT:

I would say you'd have to still make a CS for the GM(s), and ask specific permission to hide it (or parts thereof) from the general population. That's what I'd do anyway.

 

You would have to get it approved by CPL.

 

I checked to best of my ability and found nothing.

My point is that under certain pretenses you can have a character whose entire stats and bio are undisclosed. Allowing you to make up whatever you want on the spot. And who could correct you to say otherwise?

 

NPC's are generally underdeveloped characters that play a background role, I have run a bunch of them in other RPGs. They are not a gateway for creating undisclosed character bios. I suggest talking to CPL about it and see what he says.

 

I think the problem here is that Keira is being run more like I run Lenea, and less like a random NPC (like Arrica+Redemption crew for me). At least, I think that's what Chewie is getting at.

 

But she just said she would use the NPC against me and good luck being able to win because I didn't know what her weaknesses are. I see nothing in the rules saying NPC's are exempt from having a visible CS. I would like some clarification on this.

For recurring NPCs in other games I have made abbreviated character sheets, for ones that will only be around for a few posts I don't bother. However, that's another game, this one is CPL's realm and so I would go with whatever he says on the subject.

 

That's why I haven't done one yet. I haven't seen Arrica having a big enough role (like Lenea ended up having...she's basically my main character at the moment ) so I haven't bothered with starting one. I've got a mental idea of her, and that's enough for a rather limited role as 'Redemption Captain when Danny/Lenea aren't available). Unless I have to worry about space battles in the near-future...I doubt that's changing.

I am going to suggest we step away from this topic until CPL weighs in.

Keira is currently an NPC that Falcon and I worked up together and that I have asked her to run and build the backstory together with me.

That is why you see both of us controlling her at different times.

She was needed to help tell part of the story between Josch and Kasha.

There are things that are going to be happening (if someone answers a tag ) that will either have her move back into the background or become a more prevalent character. Should she become a more prevalent character a CS will be required.

This applies to all. If there is an NPC (Jaxon, one of the Journeymen, a Crew member of the Big R, a Temple cleaning droid, etc.) that you would like to develop more, then by all means send me a PM on here, a DM on FB, or an IM on Yahoo. I am more than willing to work with people and their stories.
