ME! I am waiting for you Becca, you need to tan Mitthys Hide, for fun of course!
As a Kubindi in this thread I have no idea to what Master Addy is speaking
I was following up Mitthy's post saying he's waiting on the GM who is waiting on me
To clear up Addie's comment Rebecca, I believe she was meaning for what I did yesterday in the BMC
This, and it was Becca who was supposed to tan it for you....
Didn't realize Jedi supported physical beatings as a form of punishment.
they're not being serious about the physical beatings Chewbie
Yeah, we're messing about Chewie Anyway, I suspect Mitthy wouldn't fight back too much
You misunderstand tranquility for lack of self-preservation instincts. I assure you, I can defend myself
never underestimate the power of self preservation or in a Jedi's life, there lack of
True, self is transient, letting that go for the betterment of the whole is a far greater calling. Yet how can one do more for the whole if one sacrifices oneself?
A Jedi's willingness to "sacrifice" self should go hand-in-hand with her instinct of self preservation.
We cannot be strong in the Force unless we give of ourselves, which in turn preserves us in the Force.
A Jedi's true strength is not found in flesh and blood, but rather the ability to lay one's life (both literally and figuratively) for the love of the greater good.
nicely put Pearl
I believe Pearl is looking toward being a Master
I would be honored, Master.
You must train a minimum of TWO Apprentices. Then we can talk to the Grand Masters
Speaking of which.
@BultarSwan, shall I amend the first post of the thread to announce that y'all are back to business as usual?
I was hoping
@CPL_Macja would also return!
Yes! Our fearless leaders must return!
*Sits lotus position* All in due time. All in due time.
Also, Addalia, when I first saw your post with the red letters and blacker image I thought you were Tee!
Now can someone help me up? I think I'm in lotus and can't get up!
*Helps Mitthy up*
Easy does it.
That's what a Kubaz gets for trying to impersonate a Grand Master, whatever they take for older joints must be a miracle pill!
*Enters the Temple courtyard, where several Jedi are meditating and studying*
I'd like to ask you all about your particular philosophy of the Force. Do you align with the Living Force or Unifying Force philosophy?
I'd also be interested in how you evaluate the Light and Dark side. Do the two extremes exist, even in the absense of sentient life?
I doubt they exist without sentient life, but as I am sentient life and if I entered such an environment that would void it, I have never seen, so I don't know for sure.
Not thought about the two different views on the Force, I was going to answer Living...then I began to think. Stang!!! That is dangerous for me.....so now as you have me thinking, I have to consider this one more!
I am more for the Living Force point of view. Although seeing the future or the past can be helpful with it's insights, being mired by them can blind you to the problems and solutions to the here and now. A little bit of the Unifying Force goes a long way in my book and the Living Force smaller steps, having individuals better suited to each working together with more Living than Unifying can lead to better results I feel. Not always but possibly.
As for if the two sides exist in non-sentient life I would have to say yes. After all where does life end? If the force flows through a ship, a rock, and the stars themselves than so too must the duality of the Force be present. Unless you are within a Force void there are sides, perhaps in better balance without sentient life, but perhaps not as well if Bogden was heavily involved in there no longer being life present, or Ashla if sentient life left such an indelible foot print before leaving.
