All right, if we have all this time to chat we're not working hard enough (or something)! Which EU Jedi do you hope to see in the upcoming movie and what information on the Jedi beliefs/culture would you like divulged?

 

Kyp Durron and not sure on which culture though.

 

I just hope that Luke's Jedi don't go the way of the Old Republic Jedi - let them have families, etc.

^That. It'll bug the heck out of me if the NJO ends up being the OJO, just with a Skywalker in charge.

Or, alternatively, there isn't an NJO. Just Luke and whatever random Jedi he may have trained or found.

I have no problem with a Skywalker being in charge of the Jedi, but I agree there hopefully will be an NJO.

 

I don't have any issues with a Skywalker in charge. I was more saying it would be an issue if the Order was just the PT Order...but Luke happened to be in charge.

That was the orders downfall. If they were allowed to marry, that would've never given Palpatine much leverage over Anakin...

 

True, but also how many dark Jedi would of fallen in the face of their own loved ones being threatened or endangered or killed or harmed? They would not be able to make sure that they were always safe and secure even on a remote world. One rational Dooku and one fallen Vader and a few driven to darkness by a dark war were all bad enough without rogue mad Jedi.

I agree about allowing marriage, but I don't think it would of made a large difference in Anakin's fall nor was it the Old Orders downfall. Anakin reacted to a vision of Padme's death, even with the Jedi master Yoda and Kenobi she still died of a broken heart so the dream would of remained without the taboo. So Palpatine would still have had his hook, perhaps even a better one.

I would love to see more non-human species of Jedi. I wonder what it would be like to see a creature that naturally has four arms wield a bunch of lightsabers while using the force?

 

Probably something like THIS OR it might be SOMETHING ALONG THIS LINE
