Describe for me what the biggest danger for a Jedi is and why.


The biggest danger to a Jedi is succumbing to the Dark Side. As a Wise Grand Master of the order once said:

'Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Consume you it will.'

Although we have seen that it is possible to return to the light after being shrouded in darkness for so long. Once you begin to embrace the dark side, you will seek to destroy everything that you once held dear to your heart. thoughts of 'bringing order to the galaxy' replace the freedom that every sentient should enjoy.

 

Not necessarily. But the majority do lean towards this.

 

I have heard it said that negative qualities are like a string of pearls...if you pick up one, the others will soon follow. And one compromise in one's integrity almost always leads to another, and another, even if the justification for the original breach can be fully justified as a noble act in one's mind. A just cause can serve as a sort of perfect veil over the conscience, or so it seems.

Meditation and contemplation on the Force along with seeking the wise counsel of the Jedi elders who have had more experience in such matters is always a good way to help safeguard a slip.

 

I'm in the pretty same situation as Thuro - I'm here, but I don't got anything to say.

And I'm mostly in the offsite forum...to play with Ananta Chetan.

 

One of the biggest dangers for a Jedi can be for her to believe that there is no danger, which leads to Pride.

Pride is a bondage that has swallowed far too many Jedi. It can lead to isolation, rebellion, hatred, and the Dark Side. When a Jedi thinks she is untouchable is when the downward spiral begins.

Be vigilant, Padawan. None of us are exempt from the temptation to think too highly of ourselves. In fact, it is often against our nature to think otherwise.

Your reliance on the Force and the Council will prevent these thoughts and keep your eyes flint-locked on your purpose for the Jedi Order.

I went outside once. The graphics were great, but the story was horrible
