Question, is LFFC being run next year? as that is at the beginning of July and if it is running then you can rule out that weekend ;)

    Ah that answers that one.

I didn't know it had been moved, wasn't much point looking since I am not in London anymore :p

Personally, I can't see them clashing with San Diego, but that is just my opinion.

I just got a convention mag at LFCC, it has all the upcoming events in it ;) :p

Actually, thinking about it, there is one problem for me personally if San Diego and CE overlap - Dark Horse Comics won't be able to do both, so once again we may miss out on seeing the good folks making Star Wars comics over here in the UK :_|

Combining CE and the FFE meet would be great for me, because there is no way I could afford going to an FFE meeting elsewhere in Europe after C4 and CE...

Whether to hold the metting before or after the con doesn't really matter for me.

Tim I can't see it over lapping due to the fact San Diego is so established that people from around the world go to that. I am pretty sure in the past showmasters have gone to it also. So yeah, I can't see them running it at the same time it doesn't make much sense.

I should be there too - unless I'm away on a job, but that's unlikely :) Looking forward to it already!

cobra, not stonehenge - nooooooooooooooooo!!! :p

...so is it decided? is it FF:UK who's hosting the FFEM, and FF:UK London who's doing the CE support?

Celebration Europe is a must for all real Star Wars fans. Of course I will be there, no matter what.
I think holding a big FanForce meeting in conjunction with the con is a very good idea. Then maybe we could get some non-Europeans to participate as well. :)

FFEM hasn't been decided upon. Lord Matt, CR for FF-UK:L is "team leader" for the FF-UK / Europe representation at CE (I am supporting him) but we are working to have all European and UK chapters involved to some extent. With it being in FF-UK domain, I am sure all UK chapters will be doing their bit.

Some JC Yanks I spoke to are thinking of coming to CE. ;)

I thought we tried that in Stockholm, and that it wasn't really a success, or was that because of the plastic lightsabres?

Not a success? Bah. As much of a success as it can be using short Kubb sticks. It was only Matt and Fredrik who were playing.

Yeah, the Kubb sticks didn't quite do the job, lol. This time we'll have a proper cricket bat with stumps. And we will go for the full-on 5 day test match.... :p
The rules will be rather flexed, more a question of who can hit the ball the furthest really ;)

Just to let all you guys know that the FanForce have been given space at the FanClub/Groups area which will allow us to promote the boards and set-up a meeting point :D
This also means we will be needing some volunters ;)

Haha, cool. I would volunteer, but I'd need to know what I'd be doing first :p

    I did make a reply here last week but there must have been a tech. error because it doesn't seem to have registered 8-}

The jist is we need people to man the FanForce table. This will involve handing out flyers and speaking to anyone who has any questions about the FanForce. It's not too difficult, and if we get lots of volunteers it will help a great deal when it comes to writing the rota :D
