I must confess, and it doesn't leave this thread (Nina :p ), that i watch it every year without fail! Not because of the music, but because of the commentry we get over here, by Terry Wogan. A very funny man indeed, especially as he is totaly drunk while he's doing it. :D

As for the songs, all i can say is, that i hope the UK's entry is better than last years!!!!! [face_laugh]

Not that it could be much worse.

Is he that guy who bashes every artist with great funny comments? I remember watching the thing two-three years ago, when I was living in Brussels, on BBC and the commentary was hilarious! [face_laugh]

The commentators here in Sweden are boooooooring. [face_plain]

Oh, and I really hate the Swedish song. It's horrible, especially the lyrics. And the fact that everyone I know walks around singing it... gaah!

    Go MAX
I'm going to watch it! I like the German song and I hope he is not going to suck like the other Germans all the years before :p

But we have seen it last year: Turkey won, because the musicstyle was in.
Let's see what happens this year :D

Ok, before the voting begins, i just need to say that if Sweden doesn't win, there's no justice in the world.

There were some great entries tonight, (Poland being one of my favourites [face_love] ), but Sweden is pure Eurovision and down right catchy.

Of course, i could be wrong!

    You're right - though I really loved Cyprus's song [face_love]

Unfortunately the Danish song didn't make it to the final....

Bah, to be honest, i never back the UK in Eurovision anyway, because no matter what, you can always count on our song being boring and unimaginative!

I was hoping in a way, Poland would win, just so i could watch them perform again! [face_devil]

Indeed, that was a good song! I did of course love Swedens song. Terry Wogan was spot on with the comment that she looked like Helena Christianson(sp?) the model lol

She's actually a very popular singer here... and she's been popular for like, oh, I don't know? 15-20 years...

Anyway, did your fabulous commentry say something fun this year? :D

Oh, and the winner looked like Xena the warrior princess...

LOL Yes, in fact he kept on commenting on the winner looking like Xena! [face_laugh]

He wasn't on top form this year though, as he wasn't allowed to drink! Although he did keep telling us not to worry, that it would all be over soon ect.... [face_laugh]

I didn't see it at all, it was the spring ball here that evening. From what I've heard I would have loved to hear Malta. [face_laugh]

If I'm at my parents I actually prefer watching it on BBC prime so I can hear Terry Wogan, he's much funnier than the Swedish commentators.

I know it is long gone, but Eurovision was cool! though i prefered the rang of songs from 2003.
I am so glad that we Australians have our own commentator. Des Mangen! he even wrote a book on the history of Eurovision called: 'This is Sweeden Calling'

I am sure Ukraine are happy about winning and hosting next year but because it's the 50th, i would have thought that it should be held in Sweeden. eg. like the Olympics in Greece.
Oh well.. till next year then...
