Lack of reply? Fighter escort? I need plain English. Did you invite a date to the club and she didn't reply? It's Star Wars night at a club. Anyone can attend. It's not a mandatory costume event needing some kind of special invite or need for costume characters. Most people at this club (800 people) will not be in costume. They'll just be there to enjoy a cool SW theme night, drink, and dance/listen to music. Heck, if I go, I'm leaning toward being there in street clothes.

If you are alluding to me having contacted the DJ and it took him about a week to get back to me, that was for Rebel Legion so it has nothing to do with SFFF participation in an event.

I thought SFFF was all about not having to have a costume for events anyway... (So that's why I'm even more confused).

 

What day were you guys going to go? I can probably go Sunday and then I can bring Eva the stuff from Vegas. I promised Angelica I would go see a certain movie with her this weekend anyway, since her grandma won't let her go tonight.

 

lol Kat... my points were directed at Rachel so I have no idea where you're getting these other ideas from. It was keeping in line with my brand of cryptic messaging via fighter pilot slang that I would hope Rogue Four (aka Rachel) would be able to pick up by now thus the "lack of reply" to myself (aka Rogue Leader) and thus me being a little put out with: . Also if you go back and look at the thread, not to sound 1st grade about it, but Blu Ray started it...

Kathy, ummm I have no idea where this other stuff you're talking about is but it wasn't a costuming issue at all. If anything it was a Rogue Squadron miss-communication between myself and Rach. I think you've hyped to a conclusion without preset nav coordinates Kat, sorry if you were confused.

 

Lemme break down the thread:

3)People can dress up as baddies!

4)People excited to be bad!

5)Rach considers dressing up as cheerleading baddy but is hesitant due to possible lack of protection...

6)Tom makes a reference to me refering to military tactics to protect said persons...

7)I finally chime in (cos previously I wasn't even all too interested) and offer said "fighter escort" to Rach and/or others.

How was that? I've been to the DNA Lounge, it's an interesting place... to put it mildly. Rach's originally request for some extra defense considering what she was considering wearing is actually wise. I offered and I was seemingly ignored. Therefore, I opted not to care about the event then and move on with my own current projects... That's about it or is it still confusing?

 

Oh I get it! You were offering to escort Rachel and had not heard from her. That version of the story I understand But notice Rachel did say she wants you to come and even used this huggy face LOL!

Rach, its one night...well, technically two - it goes from 9 pm Saturday to 3 am Sunday.

We're putting the finishing touches on the Star Wars-themed visuals, and have 300 12" glowsticks ready for the fight. God, I can't wait to see them all lit up!

Yay, the help files were enabled! Anyway, I did note that Kat, I'm not mad or anything but I wasn't all to interested in the event previously and the only reason I'd consider being there is to keep the peace and act as wingman/fighter escort.

Ooo... the abridged version was easy to understand. Will have to keep that in mind for future confusion. lol

 

Do we all want to meet up first then go in or meet there?

I'm planning on getting into the City around 7 to check on parking for volunteers. I'd like to drop off my costume first. We all have each other's numbers, so we can call where everyone is at. As long as I'm back by 8:30 at the club to change, I'm game for wherever to eat.

 

I maybe in the City tomorrow, got packages at the Rent's place to retrieve, so I may go to this afterall, might as well. Ironically, I need to go to Costco too but on this side of the bay.

X-wing or Jedi... hmm... I kinda want to wear the X-wing and show up at my parents place to freak them out. Make them think I joined the Air Force or something (yes, they wouldn't know any better. lol) Heh... that'd be funny...

 

Matt, I can bring your shirt tomorrow. The other comment about the day was a response to you guys talking about going to help Eva but I have already talked to her. I realized coming in the middle of the thread it probably got confusing.

I will call Matt or someone else tomorrow and find out where you are meeting up. Now the question is do I or do I not bring the pompomS?
