Definitely not my Spongebob knickers...as I do not have any.

But I should be there.

I need a new surcoat, though. I'm tired of blue/black. Maybe green/black now. Hmm...5 shopping days left to make a new one...

 

what does your current surcoat look like? What are you looking for? I have tons of fabric and stuff.....

 

Current surcoat is black, with a navy blue section right down the middle. Has little shoulder sleeves like how nobel tabbards have.

Has tons of rivets, too. 10 hours worth.

I had thought to change the design for the blechy green/black one I'm making, but after going through a bunch of different pics that I've found, I can't find any that I like more.

OK. It's appearing more and more that it won't be much of a tunic or surcoat...but will be closer to a duster from Farscape, but a medieval version...LOL.

 

Hmm...only 3 nights to make it, though, and Friday night I have a wedding to go to...

 

However, there's still 5 hours left in the night. Would be 7, but I've been trying to make it a habit to go to bed...umm...early. Tally-ho!

 

Yeah yeah...Farscape...duster...funny jacket...non-period...

But it'll be SO COOL.

And that's what matters.

 

Figured out a nice pattern, got everything cut out and pinned. Just need to sew. w00t.

But, time to crash.

 

Got my surcoat completely sewn together last night. Was too worn out to take pics, though. Not gonna do the full Farscape thing with the straps across the chest though -- they'd interfere too much with the my ummm...somewhat...err...bondage-like hardness that keeps my pauldrons...hanging...in the right place.

Man...there's really no way that I could've made that comment sound anything less than PG-13. LOL.

 

I got some great fabric for a gypsy costume, but oddly enough, haven't had time to make it. wonder why.

Well, we WERE going to the Renfest today, but on the account of the mother in law hurting her back while wrestling with Isabel while changing her diaper...

And the fact that everyone showed up at the house today wearing WINTER CLOTHES (coat, beanies, and looking like they're freezing to death -- 55 and rainy is winter to wimpy FL people), we've decided not to go. *shrug*

 

Hmmm...

Bored.

Mudder-in-law is laying on the couch being hurt...

Everyone else has somehow become zombies watching TV.
