Every social thread has a beginning.... The PT Forum Social Thread

Well I was sitting back to see if a user would create a social thread with some cool name but it hasn't happened. I would like to go ahead and create one, sans the cool title obviously... However, I love the CT forum's idea of the always evolving and changing social thread title that is (unless TLJ does it) funny and fun! So here's to a successful social thread!

Well let's socialize. How many of you absolutely love the Duel of the Fates? Howmany of you are former Siths like me?

 

Duel of Fates is one of my favorite scenes of Episode One.

FYI, I typically do all my posting while I'm at work, here on the West Coast. The San Francisco bay area to be more specific.

The ROTS forum will remain separate until after the DVD release. The exact timeline for its merge has not yet been decided. It depends on how long it stays extremely active.

 

I absolutely love Duel of the Fates. Am I the only one that cries when Darth Maul dies?

I would think you'd give the forum about 2-3 weeks before you merged it. Most of the hardcore fans and more involved ones - like the people who would bother to post here - will likely see it within that timeframe, if not earlier. (Just how many people are seeing this movie on premiere night? ) More casual fans will probably wait a bit longer, and they don't strike me as the kind to mind spoilers as much.

What exactly is the point of a social thread, anyway?

Specially Sith Sensei... I am also at work, but faaaaaaar away, in Madrid (Spain). I filled a ticket to day to try to win one of the tickets for the premiere on the 18th (unfortunately we don´t have here that midnight session. In any case I already have my tickets for the 19thand I have advised at work that if I have to work on thursday afternoon they will find a nice quit letter on top of the HR head's desk!

 

Woo-hoo! A social thread! Now, I must think of something interesting to say... hmm... OK, I'll have to get back to you.

 

Social threads are for chit chatting and interacting with other users in the forum without discussing Star Wars.

As for merging the ROTS, it will be a time after the ROTS DVD release. We're talking probably a year from now. The reason for that is because the film is new and will be a major topic of discussion for a long time, the amount of traffic it generates would be enough for an entire forum. If we merged it into the PT forum now, it would flood all other discussion out. Once ROTS is no longer spoiler material, discussion will be allowed in the PT forum in threads that relate to all three PT films. Threads that pertain solely to ROTS will continue to be moved to the ROTS forum.

Right now, I'm sitting at work looking outside the window. It's mostly a sunny day in the San Francisco Bay Area, but the weatherman says it will only last until Monday. Which sucks, because I've been itchn to ride my bike to work. I haven't been able to ride lately because I've been commuting with my wife to work until she settles into her new job and gets us shift finalized.

I'm debating what to eat for lunch. I'm kinda in the mood for a grilled stuffed burrito from Taco Bell or a Quzino Sub.
