ST Everybody and Yo Mama Wants to Be in Ep. VII

Disney already has Jackson as a bums-on-seats attraction, with Marvel.

He doesn't need to be in the ST, neither does Ewan but he at least makes more sense given Guinness is dead and therefore can't appear.

 

Sheesh ... 'Yo Mama' is the name of my custom Lego Star Wars Jedi ...

 

I think Ray Park could very well come back... as a different character.

Is it just me or no Asian talents seems to want in? Or been asked?

I would love to see Chow Yuan Fatt in any Star Wars movie.

Someone said Ray Park as a fight co-ordinator? Or as another character. Great idea!

The casting people will have the worse job in history now because I think there isn't another movie franchise that attracts this much known and unknown actors. IF I am the casting director or what you call it, I will have some seriously hard time. Do I give this or that role to a new unknown actor so they will have a jump start in their career or do I give it to a has-been actor which might resurrect their career or just play safe and give it to someone everyone knows?

 

I nominate Don Johnson.

In another post I mentioned how much I would like to see Ang Lee direct a SW film. I think the result would be visually satisfying.

 

I have to admit I am not really familiar with Ang Lee's works but I do know John Woo's movies. Sonovergun, imagine a John Woo directed Boba Fett or Han Solo movie!!!

 

I'll have to check out John Woo, as I've never heard of him.

Ang Lee has directed such diverse films as:
Sense & Sensibility
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (starring Chow)
Brokeback Mountain
The Hulk
And more recently, Life of Pi.

 

its funny how a lot of the actors in PT seemed to have had a much better time making it than the OT cast....i wonder if this was because they were fans first? Its well known that Guiness and Ford both had serious reservations, but the like of Ewan, Samuel etc clearly loved every minute

 

Ah, ok, don't tell anyone but I like Sense and Sensibility. Saw Hidden Dragon and Hulk, like both too!

John Woo's more my kinda director. He directed a lot of Hong Kong gangster movies and most of them starring Chow Yuan Fatt. Unlike Lee, Woo is more action oriented.

 

Don't forget the rumors of N'SYNC. Now it's One Direction!!!

I would love it if Charles Dance(the actor of Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones) played a character in the sequel trilogy. Maybe as a Supreme Chancellor of the New Republic or an Admiral. Dance is a really talented actor. Just look at this scene here:



I think the top comment is right when it says, "Chuck Norris is nothing compared to this guy." Of course, I'd apply that not only to the character he's playing, but also the actor himself.

 

I want Brandon Routh for EpVII or spin-offs. I think he be a good young Han Solo, or a bounty hunter or a soldier, Jedi, SIth etc etc.

Great dialogue and great acting as well. Also, wouldn't mind if Iwan Rheon were to play some type of character in the ST... Maybe a torture-happy Mandalorian or something like that.

Although as with all SW films the script characters determine the actors and not the other way around I think the suggestion of Charles Dance is excellent. A solid professional actor. It is professionalism that gives the gravitas to the various roles in SW films. Think of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. The scripts came first but they really made the characters come to life.
