London, ON Everybody loves (to be in) a parade!

Young Jedi Niagara is proud to be participating once again in this years Grape & Wine Festival Grande Parade, and we want you to join us!

The Grape & Wine Festival Grande Parade is a huge event in the Niagara region every year with televised coverage by CHTV in Hamilton and by the local cable channel. Several thousand people line the streets to take part. It takes place in the morning of Saturday, September 28th in St. Catharines, Ontario

But why just watch the parade?

We are looking for people with Star Wars related costumes who want to participate. We have contacted the 501st to help bolster our Imperial troops but we haven't received word yet from them.

If you have a costume and want to attend please go to this thread and sign up. We need to know who can attend fairly soon. All the planning info and details, as they become available, are also at that link.

If you don't have a costume, but really want to be in the parade then we are looking for you as well! We may have a "spare" costume available for you. We are also going to need a few logistics people to walk along the side and carry water bottles etc.

But wait! There is more!!

Not only do you get to participate in one of the largest parades in North America, but you will also be invited to join the rest of Young Jedi Niagara in a Post Parade Party!

Gather together with your friends at a home with a pool! We'll even be providing free food!!

I know Lelila is into costuming, but for someone without a car, Niagara is pretty far.

Well ok I decided to go before, but still!

Oh and guys, a round trip by bus isn't alot.

I am meeting someone in Hamilton, but the bus leaves at 3:55. Still its cheap! 31 bucks.

From London to St. Catherines its $54.68 round trip.

And you'll need to leave at 3:55.

But it'll be well worth it! I'm doing it!

 

If you feel you can't come because you do not have a costume, some are available for you to borrow.

*grins* You mean I have to get on a 4 am bus downtown, drive another couple hours, be in a parade, then party all day then do another 4 hour trip back to London all on no sleep?

HELL YA! Count me in!

 

We do have crash space available if anyone rather come in the night before

I think the plan for us to leave at 4am is pretty much set but either way is good with me (hey, I won't turn down free sleep! - it will be a long day). Let's see what Justin and Bayley have to say about it!

So it was fun, eh? Good to hear. Sorry I had to miss it. I was working all weekend anyway (just put in an 8 hour shift today).

 

It was VERY awesome
