    Dispite how amusing that is...

I'm wondering why they just don't stop the "instance"...

i mean if you remove the thing that is producing the corrupted blood...

you'd think that the plague would stop...

    or do a P-wipe.

    hehe...

personally i'd love to see a p-wipe and the anarchy that would follow...

    Hrmmmmmm.....

From my understanding this isn't the first time Blizzard has fracked up with their super moves.

There was an instance when you could blow up everyone at the AH and surrounding areas. Basically some boss casts this move on your pet, you remove the pet from the fight right after and it goes back to town. . .and pets don't lose any status effects after being affeccted just by going back to town so eventually you get a.......BOOM.

Or so I was told by a friend, who likes to gloat about how Blizzard is fracking the game up. THis latest quarantine is just another example. :p

Yep, you'd summon the pet inside the Auction House for the best effect.

    There's a few videos out, they're hilarious.

Sadly, my server's too new to experience this :(

We'll have 60s eventually though. Hope it hasn't been fixed by then, as I'd like to see it. It amuses me.

Yes, but this isn't real life...it's a game. Quest just used AIDS in the title to make a comparison to a devastating virus.

I really think that it should have been called Ebola.

Thanks for the link from my unwitting second thread.

you remove the pet from the fight right after and it goes back to town

According to the BBC article that I was responding to, a pet pig or hog had been used by players to deliberately infect a town.

Used to damage and npc threats being contained by zones in Everquest, I was impressed when they created a dragon that purported to kill all characters across all zones upon awakening, but this, this simply blows me away.

Wow. that is funney. It actualy adds a bit of suspense to the game and makes it seem like you're really living in the middle ages.

Also, there is no permnent player death in WOW, so you don't really lose everything, or anything except time. plus when you die, all diseases go away. SO the GMs need to go on a killing spree.

World of Warcraft is still 100 times better than SW-Galaxies.

One of the main reasons I left WoW was the incredibly annoying technical issues and bugs. It sounds like things just keep getting better and better over there.

I played WoW during the public beta stage. Enjoyed it, but it was addictive, so I promised myself back then that I wouldn't buy the game. That being said, I found a video to really show the plague in action here.

From watching the video, it looks like Blizzard-made virtual Ebola, since the effect resembles people hemorrhaging large amounts of blood.

If they've seen the movie Outbreak, then Blizzard knows what needs to be done here. And it involves a C-130 cargo plane.

Hilarious! Total civilization annihilation... I play WoW but my server is safe as far as I know. Im gonna lock my character up in a safehouse in the Eastvale Logging Camp, arm myself, and await the Mutant Player Swarm of those infected.

Resident Evil comes to Warcraft. [face_worried]
No guns this time, shoddy wooden bows. They will eat our brains :_|
If they quarantine ME in a pit stuffed with mutilated mutant players who will leap onto me and spread this bloody disease I will... just... stop.

I went on the giga thing, didnt see anything.
I am desperate to see the Resident Evil effect on Warcraft with that link video thing. Pleease show me how to get to it! MUST - SEE - CONTAMINATION.

"Man walks into a bar with a giraffe. They both get pissed. The giraffe falls over. The man goes to leave and the bartender says, 'Oi! You can't leave that lyin' there!' And the man says, 'No, it's not a lion -- it's a giraffe.' "

On another note, appears that video's been taken down.
