Come on, Lierin, it's just a short little commute--the Atlantic Ocean's not THAT big... :)

As for meetings, whatever you guys decide is fine, but I'd definitely like to see a different meeting time than the GM. One of the main ideas behind having SIGs is spreading out the meetings so everyone can make it to something. I'd even put it on a different weekend as the GM.

Models, dioramas and props should all be included.

That stormtrooper was done with a jigsaw, dremel, rough handfile, and a pocket planer definitely doin' it the hard way. Took 40 hours.

Technically, the members of our club at the University of Evansville put on both a Halloween Party and a Convention at the end of the winter semester - those were fully costumed (complete with costume contests!). Unfortunatly, due to work scheduales and stuff, it was mostly UE students there...but the fanforce is always at the top of the guest list (considering we have 2.5 crossover members...).

I wanted to start an annual celebration on May 19th as a kind of Star Wars day, but I think school is either out of session or in finals by that point :(

From my experince our costumers are always eager to suit up for new as well as established events.

The Costuming/Prop Building SIG is a way to get to get together and hang out, as well as talk costiming/props/projects...hopefully help each other out.

You can do whatever you want, but you might be pretty uncomfortable. No one else will be in costume; just Star Wars T-shirts.

Definitely bring the helmet or something, that way , we will know its you! Plus, it gives everyone something cool to look at.

As Cole said, you're more than welcome to come in costume if you want. It'll certainly attract a lot of attention to us, which is always a good thing. If you want to show up as Vader, then do so--we'd all love to see the suit!
