We are offical, but we don't have an official logo yet. To do the Shirts, we will need something to put on them. If anyone has an idea or can use paint, paintshop, or photoshop, PLEASE help us make a logo.

On the same note, you could use your talent to make a custom banner for our boards. There are numerous How-To threads on the boards. Here is one

Some examples of custom boards are Indy and Chicago

    BUMP!

I made a basic "business card" thing on Word at home. It reads (in Star Jedi font)

    • "Star Wars: E'ville Jedi"
    • It then has that famous picture of Aalya Secura (you all know the one) and of Mara Jade (from her TCG card).
    • Time and location.

I will have it at the December 14 meeting to show everyone.

    That's cool L_S.

Bring them to the meeting if you can, I'm sure everyone will want to check them out.

Damn, I wish I had a printer that worked.

Or that CD-ROMs were accessible at the library's computers.

Or that my school wasn't so bloody cheap so I could print some colour other that blue!

But I WILL have the cards at the meeting! [face_solemn]

Okay, went to the images on fanforce site and they have finally done something brilliant....they changed the permissions on the images so no one can download them.
I'm trying to think of a way of getting the images that will not necessitate me drawing them form scratch ?I can draw, but I'm not that good.?
So if anyone has files with either the x-wing or the freedoms monument, i'd love to hear from you....of course, drawing the freedoms monument wouldn't be that hard , might even give it a comic book flavor....

Taelys can you send me a link to a page where you are having trouble with the images? I'll then get one on the tech admins to check it out.

FWIW, I was just over in the Multimedia section and was able to 'save as' a number of images.

    X-Wing images

I think the problem somehow revolves around the fact that I'm using a Mac, (Macs are sithspawn) When I try to 'save as' it wants to save the entire page rather than the image. When I try to open the document in photoshop, it refuses because it finds an illegal jpg marker.
I'm trying to save either xwings.jpg or xwing.jpg and as you can tell, it's for the club logo.
I'm going to keep working on the problem, but if you have any suggestions about what I'm doing wrong I'd love to hear 'em.

    Thanks for your concern.

    x-wing

    x-wings

Above are direct links to the images themselves, so you won't get the borders, etc. If that doesn't work, I can email them to you when I get home later tonight. (Send me your email via PM if it isn't in your profile.)

Thank you for the images Lord_Skywalker, the Four freedoms looked really good, but I think, thanks to the help of Darth Jurist that I've got some better x-wing images.
I've got two different images, let me do the compositing and send them to you via email. Tell me which one you like better.

    Business card-thingys:

I have made use of a working printer! w00t!

I also made modifications to the cards described at the meeting (confuzzling word usage and all that) and changed the pics. They are mostly from the films (okay you purists ;)) but there are also some EU pics because I couldn't leave out the pilots. :D

I'll try to bring them...Oh jeez, is it tonight for the TTT premiere? Wow...
