Ewan McGregor on TV in October

Friday Oct 1 Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman will be on BBC1 from 1035-1135 pm on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross talking abut their recent
around-the-world motorcycle trip.


And on Monday nights from Oct 18 Sky One will be running Long Way Round from 9-10pm, a show about the same trip. It will be repeated on Wednesdays at 930 pm on Sky Travel. My satellite magazines don't say how many shows there are in total, but it is listed for Monday Oct 25th as well.

 

Damn bloody cable/satellite TV

But I'll certainly watch JR

 

Hehehehehe I shall be watching both of those shows!

No doubt JR will ask Ewan about Ep 3, which should be interesting!

Just a note that today's Times has an article on Ewan's trip and an excerpt from their upcoming book in the Magazine section..

 

I thought the interview with JR was good.
But he didn't say much about ROTS

 

No, but I wasn't surprised at that. After all they were promoting the book and TV programs of their bike trip. He's probably under a non-disclosure agreement until the film comes out anyway.

He said he didn't like them because of Jar Jar.

I thought that was a bit strange seeing as Jar Jar was only in Clones for a couple of minutes. I think he was just having a joke though to be honest. If you were to ask him seriously what he thought of Clones (as the 2002 review showed), he would probably say he liked it quite a lot.

He also said Ewan was great in them. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a massive Ewan McGregor fan, but his performance in the prequals hasn't been brilliant (particularly TPM). One of the worst deliveries I have ever seen of a line is where Obi-Wan is asked if he is "here to inspect the Clones" and he says:-

"Thats why i'm here!".

Terrible, terrible delivery.
