ST Excalibur

    (1) Just like Arthur was the only one who could summon Excalibur, Rey was the only one who could summon Luke's old lightsaber. Accordingly, I propose the lightsaber's unofficial name should be Excalibur. What do you guys think?

    (2) Like many other fans, I think Rey should have a double-bladed lightsaber, given she wielded a staff quite well earlier. However, given the fact TFA made Excalibur seem specially important, this seems unlikely. Do you think she'll trade in Excalibur for another lightsaber?

    (3) Excalibur called out to Rey. Can other lightsabers communicate to force sensitive individuals now?

    (4) In this scene, did Rey summon the lightsaber, or did the lightsaber choose Rey, or both?

    I don't think this really warrants a thread of its own. We have threads on the importance of the lightsaber both in this forum and 8/9 SA. Feel free to use one of those. Locking.
