Not really at all. The Speaker series/sequel just got increasingly odd, and the Shadow novels were overly-indulgent of Card's implausible geopolitical fantasies. At their base, though, most of them still worked as tales, even if improbable or thematically silly ones. Forever Peace was a 300 page joke at the expense of the reader, in the most incredibly crude, unimaginative, and senseless possible form.

Frankly, at this point, anything to keep him from making a Prometheus sequel.

They got the cast, they got the effects, they got the cinematography; someone just forgot to write a script.

Who's voice is that in the beginning as the father of Ramses? I recognize it, but can't place it.

I can't wait for Ridley's Nelson Mandela bio-pic starring Michael Fassbender.

Will not be seeing this until it comes out on DVD. Rather disappointed when I read a plot synopsis and the time of Moses' banishment was changed to after Rameses' accession instead of before. Plus his foster mother demanding his death after the truth of his heritage comes out.

I'm sorry, but after The Ten Commandments and Prince of Egypt, to have those two plot points changed in this film quite frankly sucks. Not to mention that apparently a boy serves aas a representation of God.

This is sounding like a film more in the vein of "Noah" than "Ten Commandments" or "Prince of Egypt."

Yes, of all the historical errors in this, that's the most egregious.

has the potential to be one of the biggest flops of the year, potentially transcending Transcendence.

Is Ridley Scott thinking that third time's the charm for his sword and sandal epics? Kingdom of Heaven flopped and Robin Hood underperformed.

Average of RT critical ranking and IMDB score net it a 63% rating. Unless it rises pretty substantially, I'll give it a miss.

Noah is indeed great except for the weird tonal shifts during the last 30 minutes or so.

Here's the thing, you should know what kind of movie you are getting just by the fact that in the splitting of the Red Sea also has a BIG HUGE BATTLE happening between Moses and Rhamses at the same time.

Scott is another who's stuck on the big battle climatic scene. As soon I saw that I knew it was a pass. Entertaining maybe, but I'm not spending 10 dollars on it. In other words it's looks exactly like every other historical or Fantasy epic of the past 10 years.

Regardless of the story, your watching the same movie you watched with KOH and RH.

I think that's the whole point. It didn't directly stick with the Biblical account, so it was more popular with the secular community.
