Well I couldn't uninstall the rancor pit, but it looks like I deactivated the Rancor

If a blaster shot was able to kill that big hulking beast in the Geonosis arena in Episode II, then surely it could kill a Rancor.

 

The Security Chief is in charge of maintaining order and discipline. Claiming the Grand Admiral's office and deactivating security devices is contrary to these goals.

EDIT: The rancors in CoPL waded into battle with AT-STs. I think they're a bit toughter than those things in the arena (Jabba's took apart three combat arachnids and wasn't even full-grown), not to mention somewhat bigger at 10 meters tall.

 

Hey, Being in Security sometimes means that you have to harm your own people.

Reek - bull thing (the one Jango shoots)
Acklay - crab thing (one Obi-wan kills)
Nexu - cat thing (one with the big teeth, cuts Padmé)
Orray - dog thing (Geonosians ride them around the Arena)
