Apparently, Prop 48 was passed by the Galactic Senate. http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57561738-1/star-wars-the-old-republic-embraces-same-sex-romance/
Huzzah for the gay content! While it's not a make or break feature (by a long shot) for me, it's awesome that Star Wars is taking a huge step into the 21st century! (Now if only we could get some man-on-man (or woman-on-woman) romance in the other media - books, comics or whatever - that would be awesome)
I'm with El Kabong. While it is in no way a more or break deal, it is nice to see them actually broaden their horizons a bit.
The only reason it is on one planet is because it takes time to add it throughout the game, programming does not let the developers push a button to add same sex relationships throughout the game, it takes time. I for one am glad to see them adding same sex relationships in game, it makes it more open to all players.
Hell. No. This is a terrible idea. Let Juhani be the only rumored lesbian/gay in the SW universe. Not any other character.
ANYWAYS..... in other expansion news, preorders now get an exclusive pet, title, and holo. Oh, and when the PTS (public test sever) comes back up in a few weeks, CHARACTER COPY TO THE PTS GOES LIVE. FINALLY. Hopefully this means transferring to new servers is coming this spring. I want to get my lvl 50 SW off of Pot5 and onto Jedi Covenant.
I just hope they implement it correctly. By which I mean they make the writing of same-sex romances between your character and his/her companions as believable as the heterosexual stuff, and not just a copy/paste job. I'd actually prefer it if we got new characters to do this with rather than tweaking of current ones; we'll see how it goes.
Congrats to Bioware and LucasArts for making this happen. It honestly won't change the way I play the game, but this is the 21st century and I know there are many people out there who simply appreciate that there is the SGR option.
IHey, I follow Fox News, does tha make me an idiot. By the way, that statement about them is baloney. I find them to be the onlynews station that doesn't have their head up the rears. I
