Hou, TX "Experts" RPG

This is the game that I will be running. It will meet weekly with my normal gaming group. The game will be geared towards players that are familiar with RPGs and are looking for a regular game, however, newbies are welcome. My standard GM night is Friday at my local comics shop in Katy. First game will most likely be July 12.

Time period: 8/9 years after ROTJ (Right after the Jedi Academy novels)
No class or species restrictions on characters.

Make your own character using the Revised Core Rules (d20 system), and bring it the first session. If you have questions about chargen, post them or PM and I will help.

OK, I finished my character. An Omwatt guy named Xelic Xux. (who I'm finishing the background for now...)he's a Techie, really good on repair and tweeking stuff.

Oh yeah You forgot to tell them that their Charater must be Blue.

 

No they do not. That was only meant as a joke in the first place.

Ya know, I think we're all blue. LOL!

 

As of right now, I'm leaning towards an Ithorian who is definitely NOT blue.

 

Well, I *could* be blue, but I haven't quite made up my mind yet about my character. Yes, yes, as mentioned previously, I am notoriously indecisive about characters.

 

Ok, the week of the game is upon us... It's gonna start this Friday! WOOT! Anyway, Fingorfin will post soon, hopefully, with more exacting details about that. I'm trying to see if everyone can post a bit about their character (name, class, race, notible other things, ya know, whatever... not stats r anything... maybe things we'd all know about each other) so when we get to the table we can jump right into the game.

For example, my character:
Name: Xelic Xux
Race: Omwatti
Class: Tech Specialist

Notes:
He's a tinkerer, always looking for new things to play with. He's real good at it, but doesn't get too much of an ego over it.

 

bluephoenix: What are Omwatti? (What do they look like, etc - anything that is "common knowledge" to the typical Ithorian ) Just asking cause they aren't in the revised book we have.

My character:

Name: Tanomaw
Race: Ithorian
Class: Force Adept

Compared to most Ithorians, Tanomaw is ambitious, impulsive, and idealistic. While most Ithorians with Force talent train to become ecological priests, Tanomaw left Ithor to make his mark on the galaxy. After traveling from planet to planet in a vagabond lifestyle, he is currently thinking of joining the Jedi Academy to train under Luke Skywalker.

 

Oops, nevermind. Moontyger reminded me that I knew what Omwati were already, since I just read the Jedi Academy books (and Qui Xux is one.) Hard to keep all these damn races straight!

 

I did remind him about Omwatti, but I am curious as to where y'all are getting rules for these other races. Are there supplements with such rules? If so, which one(s)? Please enlighten me. Thanks.

Yeah, Omwati are a rather unheard of race as of the Jedi Academy timeline... thanks in a large part to G.M.Tarkin. Xelic is from the same family as Qui, thus the still alive part.

Such a pity that they don't make blue Ithorians though... oh well...

Apparently I was mistaken about the Ithorians as well, they can be blue, green, striped, etc (so it says in Children of Jedi, anyway.)
Tanomaw, however, is not blue, but brown because I like the way the Ithorian looked in the Cantina scene. A blue Ithorian would just be bizarre.

 

Well, only 6 hours till game time... can't wait. If anyone needs a bit of help with characters, or needs to finish up, I'll be there working on my background a bit from noon on... see ya there!

 

Btw, I noticed we somehow skipped the traditional "introduce and describe your character" portion of the game, with the general result that I don't know the names of most party members and am unsure of race on some, which seems odd. Anyway, just thought I would bring it up so we could remedy it... we could either do said intros here or next time, whatever works best.

 

That's kinda what the idea behind my post awhile back was...
