Did anyone watch this? It's tentatively promising, certainly a helluva lot better than other recent SF pilots I've seen (Terra Nova, mainly). The only things I don't like so far are the ultra light hues in some scenes and the writing choice to show a lot of what's going on in the background with the ISEA director and Yatsumoto.

AVClub gave it a B, iirc. I will be sticking with it for now.

Remains to be seen whether the title is misleading.

A lot of promise and a slow build to the events.

What happens to Halle Berry when she gets impregnated by a solar flare?

THE SAME THING THAT HAPPENS TO EVERYBODY ELSE

    I saw a preview clip.

People asking Halle Berry how she got pregnant while being alone in space for a year.

    [face_thinking]

So much fun could be had with that.

It does seem to have the potential to be a good sci-fi mystery story so I'm going to give it a try.

I also thought they developed quite a lot of plots, given it was a pilot.

Watching presently. Husband is the hybrid of Phil Dunphy from Modern Family, with Carl Sagan.

Annie Wersching (aka Rene Walker aka Freckles from "24") is on the show, I'm seriously considering watching it just for that. Good actress and verrrry pretty. Does she have a big part? Second lead?

So it's not midiclorians or anything like that?

EDIT: Or a DC Comics supervillain who wants to muck up the time stream?

I love 24's original Agent Hotness. I was so pissed when they did what they did to her in Season Nine. As for this show, she had a small part in the Pilot.

Still watching, penultimate episode. It's still great. My older 2 kids are really into it too, which I think is great, reminds me of my childhood watching freaky dark series with the folks like a Edge of Darkness.

I binge watched the entire season a week ago, I quite liked it. The robot kid is my favorite character.

Got around to catching up on episodes 5-13 while travelling last week. I enjoyed it, they pushed the story along at a good pace and paid attention to some of the ethical dilemmas that would be a natural part of all that was occurring.

I hope that it has enough ratings wise to get a second season, because there is so much more to come from Ethan. But I think that it works well enough on its own if that doesn't happen.

The show was supposedly smart people making about the stupidest decisions possible.

The only saving grace of the program is that every actor on the program is likable and I liked watching it for them -- but when the creepy robot kid is one of the best actors in a story starring Halle Berry and Dr. Kovac... there are some issues.

I am really glad to have found this thread. I have been trying to promote this relentlessly and peer pressure people into watching it, with mixed success. For the record, though, everyone should support The Halle Berry Show. It really is as good as jaypee claims.
