FF:NZ *eyes dart left and right* Star Trek Topic...

Will I get slain for talking about Star Trek in here? Has anybody been watching DS9 recently? And is anyone else really angry at how far behind we are? ...anyway, I think that Dukat is one of the best Sci-Fi bad guys out there, next to Vader. Disagree with me if you want.

Oh, and... have you noticed how much Saesee Tiin looks like Freddy Krueger?

 

ive got nothing against st but ds9 sucks and voyager is the best series. Yes tv4 are slack. Like tv3 whens the new dbz coming.

I love ST alomost as much as SW.

I like the way that the end of ds9 is building up.

Dukat is probably not as good a bad-guy as Vader. He's probably a bit more like Sidious in the way he manipulates and schemes.

I love the way Dukat sticks by his story no matter what other people say. "I view the Bajoran people as my children, etc". The only time he let it slip was when he went wacko on that planet with Sisko. Anyways... yeah, this is a SW forum.

 

If ANH had been a flop on it's initial "Star Wars" release, then there probably wouldn't have been any Star Trek.

It's mainly because Star Wars was such a big hit, they decided to make the first Star Trek movie.

SO, if you "hate" Star Trek, you've only got yourself to blame for "loving" Star Wars.




Personally, I like Star Trek (and Stargate SG-1), but it's nowhere near as good as Star Wars!!

 

i like dukat, he is evil in a understandable way....you know, like the road to hell is paved with good intentions..........at least that is what he believes, whether or not everyone elses does or did is another matter

I did enjoy TNG though, as a kid. I remember it used to be on Friday evenings. Though it took me a while to understand that Worf was a good guy, because I had been raised on the ugly alien=bad alien sterotype.

 

I've grown to like star trek lately (note the "like" compared to my "love" of Star wars) just saw the trailer for the upcoming ST enterprise series with the guy from Quantum leap. looks cool.

Not only is there a new Star Trek series called Enterprise just started in the US, there's another Star Trek movie about to start filming too (based on the Next Generation cast).

 

I can't believe that both VOY and DS9 are over in America, but we're not even through DS9 yet. Arrrgh!

ST: Enterprise makes the 5th ST series. There was also a cartoon series back in like the 70s based on TOS. There was also another series planned after TOS finished, called "ST: Phase 2", but it never got off the ground. On top of that, there's been 9 movies, and the upcoming film is tentively titled "Star Trek X".

indeed, when will it end? But if future ST series measure up to the standards set by VOY, I hope it goes on for a while longer.

 

I'm almost 100% positive that this is the last season of DS9 that we're seeing on Saturday's now (in fact I think there's only a few more episodes).

Voyager is considered to be the worst Star Trek series by many "hard core" fans, but I think it's pretty good - when they're not playing in the holodeck or confusing time-travel episodes. ?

The new "Enterprise" series seems to have a 50-50 split on opinion.
