Nope. But i'm hankering for their upcoming Batman game this year.

 

It's not actually made by Telltale. It just mirrors their gameplay style very closely. I'm guessing akin to Life is Strange.

Played a ton of Overwatch during open beta. Can't wait until it's out in two weeks.

The 1979 game is not made by Telltale, but it plays similarly to a lot of their games. The upcoming Batman game will be made by Telltale. Are we clear now?

 

That was a pretty fun beta, but they need a way to report players who go AFK.

 

It's really fun. More on the simple side for an FPS but they totally nailed the heroes and giving them all their own unique charm.

 

Has anyone subscribed to Hitman? Any good?

 

I have the first chapter, but haven't really explored it.

However, it's utterly huge and makes you forget, in one level, Hitman:Abortion or Absolution or whatever.

 

Updated Nvidia drivers, installing Doom. Haven't played Doom since 1993. I hope it's as fun as I remember it. The graphics weren't that great. That was the year I almost got divorced if I recall correctly. Ultimately a marriage easily saved by not playing Doom.

 

I purchased it yesterday but didn't get time to set it up last night. I'll do it today.

 

I've heard mostly great things about the single player (not so much the multiplayer, though). Definitely gonna check it out at some point.

 

The gtx 980 sli with the driver update seems to do a great job powering the Doom game. Already thinking about changing them out for the 1080s when those go on sale, but clearly that's not necessary for Doom. It really looks fantastic. evoked a lot of Half Life 2 nostalgia.

 

****, man, why upgrade a 980 sli? That's completely unnecessary at this point unless the power savings of the 1080 and/or spending an obscene amount of money really excite you.

I think the multiplayer might have been outsourced while the single player was handled in-house.

Why wouldn't you get the 1080, Even? I have a 970 and I'll upgrade in a heartbeat and without remorse.

 

It makes even less sense for you considering how much GPUs cost down there.

 

I have a 970 too and it will be just fine for years. By that time the 1280 or whatever-the-****-nonsensical-numbering will be out and I won't have wasted $600 (quite a steep price by non-rich people standards for pure entertainment) on something that will be outdated not long after my current card. It's possible I would also need a new PSU for a 1080 which would add to the cost.

What do you need it for? Don't tell me you've been sucked into the '90s nostalgia "VR" fad.

 

Nah I was actually not going to get it.

I just spent a tonne upgrading the CPU and mobo and I bought the Logitech G920 so I should just use the 970 for a while.

EDIT: Though in truth, VR would be very useful for sim racing

 

Encourage them to upgrade, idiotic moves like that subsidise costs for the rest of us!

Yeah but think of the additional costs in heat sinks and fans you needed for that AMD card.

 

I'm using stock everything except for my case fans which I re-used!
