This probably hasn't happened to anyone here, but when I moved, I packed my Jango costume in a box and didn't think about it. When I pulled out the holster and the vest, the silver paint had gotten on the fabric. Slightly upset, I tried laundry detergent, dish soap, and scrubbing. Nothing worked. Just for a kick, I opened the bottle of vegetable oil, dipped my finger in it and was able to removed the unwanted paint.
So I then took a paper towel, doused it in oil, and removed all the paint from the faux-leather fabrics. Worked great.

Just a heads up for those who are interested. Might file it away in case it ever happens to your gear.

(Kinda weird that you cook with this stuff and it removes paint...)

Not so strange if it was oil based paint.

    Like things dissolve each other.

It's easier to take off label adhesive with, say WD-40, than alcohol. ;)
