Facebook blues

I have concluded unlike message boards like these, Facebook is NOT a great place to talk about topics, hobbies, interests. It sucks in that aspect, actually.

Why do I say this?

I belong to like 2000 (That's right: Two thousand) or more pages and groups, my interests are crazy, BUT I hardly get too much notifications.

I don't know if Facebook has a problem letting me know if someone replied to me, but I don't always get a reply that I think I should get.

No notifications (despite how many pages, or groups I am a fan of)?


So this is what my Notification looks like last 4 days, pretty sad and I am confused.

I don't know what's funnier, this thread, or thinking about how long it took you to block all those things out.

i never saw that movie, but i remember nick well. i hated him because when i was 11 or 12 i had a huge crush on mallory and he was the cool older guy who i could never be.

 

Interesting. I never had a crush on Mallory. I was more of an Alyssa Milano fan.

Me too, but the "Alyssa Milano and kleenex appreciation society" facebook group never pushes its notifications out to me.

 

Tom inspired me to check out Justine Bateman too. To my surprise, she went topless in a movie. So some good came out of this thread after all.

 

Yeah I know, but not always can we hang out...nor am I asking them to always hang out with me. They have their own lives, you know. Besides, not always they have the same hobbies, interests as mine.

But, the point is, again I am surprised to see so few notifications despite that I belong to 2000ish pages and groups.




Facebook just doesn't seem to have the best 'mechanism(I am trying to think of a more correct term)' to cater to people's hobbies and interests, and favorite topics.

Looking back on it, I think Mallory was prettier. Of course back then I preferred Alyssa because I used to like 9 year olds.

 

wait...you want MORE facebook notifications? I get notified every time a friend of a friend makes a move on FarmFashion or whatever. And I'm a member of zero groups

How did you turn that off?

 

I don't do Facebook games, none of my friends play them either. I got real games (On 360, PS3 and PC) and I also don't have much time to play games anymore.
