Oh, bummer. I have a stage combat rehearsal that day. Sorry I can't make it!

 

It turns out that I can't go after all. I got saddled with something at church which won't end until after noon. Sorry.

I hate to say it, but I now can't make this event. My best friend who moved to Virginia a few years ago and I only get to see once a year or so now is coming to Wisconsin that weekend...and she'll be in Eau Claire. So, I'm making a trip up north. It's too bad, too, because I had convinced my husband (non major Star Wars fan) to come along to this event. Please keep me posted on anything else the two groups might do in the future!

I seriously need to use a calendar... I forget way too much stuff... I totaly forgot about this... and I regret to inform all of you that because of my scheduling I will not be able to attend this event... D**N IT! (

 

To those Wisconsin-ites making it to the function, I hope we can live in peace and harmony this weekend. Forgetting all about the little rivalry we have with a certain sport that transpires Monday night.

 

I promise you I won't give it a first thought.

Anyhoo, to those making it today, we will be meeting by the benches next to the main depot, weather permitting. If it's super nasty outside, we'll meet inside.

 

I just wanted to thank those Milwookiees that braved the journey to join us in East Troy today. BYOB_Kenobi, Jedi_Knight_Isadore, and... oh, shells! I don't remember your name!

Thank you all for coming out! Not only that, but for riding the train again after travel delays got the Chicago contingent there about half an hour late. Y'all are great!

 

Yesterday was a blast, you guys!

The rest of you punks missed out big time! We went to John J. Lauber's Old Fashioned Ice Cream parlor after we got back from the Elegant Farmer. We imbibed phosphates mixed with various forms of frozen dairy products, played old records on the jukebox, threw small children around, and marvelled at the Rectal Desitin in the display case. And I've got the photos to prove it!

I've got to hand it to Chicago Force. You guys have a Star Wars reference to go along with virtually anything that happens in a normal day, don't you?

 

Steve and I had been waiting for like forever to go to this event, and then my best friend decides this is a good weekend to come back to Wisconsin (she's in Virginia) and then my mom went into the hospital again. Any chance y'all might think of doing this again next year?
