    Where did the author get his information about the lava scene in FOTR. I ask because there is going to be a lava scene in ROTS as we all know. Did he have any inside information back in 1983 or what?

    The ROTJ novel has Obi-Wan telling Luke that Anakin fell into a lava pit after thier battle.
