My favorite, from author and love swami Warren Ellis:

    Warren Ellis@warrenellis
Somewhere, someone is pitching Joss Whedon on "STAR WARS: Which Character Did You Love Best? That's The One I'm Killing"

Is deja vue another way of saying... Here we go, again. Or as Jean P Satre might have eloquently written it... will this never end?

Glad to see so many people backing it. Celebrity publicity is always good publicity.
(Also, XII is 12, not 7. 7 is VII. I'm gonna get aggravated at how many times I'm gonna see that mistake in the coming years, I know.)

ImageMovers Digital (Mars Needs Moms studio) was shut down by Disney. Another failed joke by MacFarlane.

Ah, you know Tony. He's got loads of dry humor and sarcasm up his sleeve. He's probably just kidding.

I'm guessing Mr. Daniels isn't looking forward to putting on the suit again.
If 3PO is in it, I say let someone else play the part, and Daniels can do the voice.
Love seeing so many big names excited about this. It's quite a change from the typical "I regret ever touching Star Wars". Thanks for selling, George. :)

Ha! Isn't that a hidden jab at his colleague Seth Green, who was to voice the kid in that movie?
Kind of a continuation of their SW Family Guy vs. Robot Chicken rivalry discussions that always end up with McFarlane winning and Green (as Chris) running out of the room in anger.

Please tell me you two aren't serious.
SIMON PEGG's opinion on anything post-1983 SW is irrelevant. 'nuff saidKevin Smith is at least able to differentiate between his opinion and the merits of the films, which makes him more professional and likeable of a person. Not to mention he can convey his beefs with humour, which can't be said about Pegg.

Billy Dee Willaims offered a few tweets finally

    Billy Dee Williams@realbdw
I think it’s fitting that Disney has the chance to use its own creative efforts to continue the stories of a galaxy far, far away

    Billy Dee Williams@realbdw
Like Walt Disney himself, George has inspired so many and...

    Billy Dee Williams@realbdw
George was a very smart and lucky individual who has been fortunate enough to create an empire that has touched so many lives.

    Billy Dee Williams@realbdw
I am very honored to have been a part of the Star Wars universe, the fans have made me feel so welcome and loved.

    Agreed on Simon Pegg.

But Kevin Smith likes the prequels a lot as far as I know. This is what he said about Revenge of the Sith:

No, he's a George Lucas Hater, one of those people who think Lucas should have retired in 1984. He's probably happy that it's being taken away from its creator.

Pegg's a worthless slab of incredibly lucky negligible dime-a-dozen "talent".

Don't know about that, he's working with GL and the Clone Wars crew as the character Dengar.

His quote was something like, "It's an OT character & as far as I know GL has nothing to do with this." He's taken every opportunity to be insulting to GL possible for several years, and to GL's fans. Meanwhile, his own work is (in my personal view) absolutely mediocre and obvious.
