Hello everyone and welcome to the next version of Fan Art Class! Since the time of our last host was apparently taken over by DRL, I volunteered to start as the new host of this endeavour. The purpose and operating in this thread will remain the same as before - a well-working procedure my predecessors have built up. I hope to make them, and our mods, proud. Still, however familiar the setup of the Fan Art Class might be for you, here are the princible guidlines of participating: [hr] As the thread title says, this is an art class. Each month I will give you a new assignment to work on. The assignments will come in changing themes and I'll give you a few reference pictures to use as a base for the practice. All the pictures used in this thread will be from the Star Wars universe. After I've given you the assignment, you'll have about a month to create and present your work in this thread. I will post the due date with each assignment. You can each choose the medium (drawing, painting, digital, etc.) that best fits your own style or mood. Feel free to change the medium or do the same assignment in multiple media if you like. The more versatile this thread is, the more it gives back to you, IMO. After you've submitted your work, you will receive comments and constructive critique about it. I encourage everyone participating to commit some thoughts for the other artists. Remember, the comments are supposed to help the respective artists to improve and develop in their style. So even if you have something harsher to say, do keep it civil and don't forget the good parts. And as always, this is meant for fun! Here's the link for the last [link=http://boards.theforce.net/fan_art/b10020/28250191/p1/?64]thread[/link]. [hr] To start this new thread off, I'd like to ask some help from all of you: In order to make this art class meet your expectations, please tell me what you'd like to practice. If you have some suggestions for assignments, send me a [link=http://boards.theforce.net/ASP/pm_send.asp?usr=1290641]PM[/link]. The themes can be pretty much anything (body parts, expressions, poses, machinery, etc.). What ever comes to your mind, don't be afraid to propose it. Please, send me your suggestions by August 29. The first assignment in version 6.0 will then be posted at the beginning of September. If you have any questions, please let me know.
